Live at Knebworth
Following three record-breaking shows at Knebworth Park - the biggest live music event the UK had ever seen - the Live At Knebworth (Live Summer 2003) album was released in the Autumn of 2003.
Flying out of the stores on its release, the album became the fastest selling live album in UK chart history. Highlighting Robbie's musical diversity and prowess as singer, songwriter and entertainer, the setlist featured all ends of Robbie's live spectrum from the full on rock of Monsoon, via the big-band favourite, Mr Bojangles, to the acoustic melody of Nan's song.
Selling around 120,000 copies in its first week, it gave a final two finger salute to Oasis who sold only half that amount with their own live album!
The Knebworth band included Gary Nuttall, Neil Taylor, Yolande Charles, Chris Sharrock, Claire Worrall, Max Beesley, Tessa Niles, Katie Kissoon and Melvyn Duffy, under the direction of Mark Plati. The 'big-arsed brass' section featured Steve Sidwell, Dave Bishop, Paul Spong, Simon Gardner, Neil Sidwell and Chris White.
The fastest-selling live album in the UK, Live At Knebworth shot straight to No.2 in the UK charts, and hit No.1 throughout many European territories including Denmark, Norway and Portugal. With Top Ten entries from Argentina to Saudi Arabia, Live At Knebworth sold almost 118,000 copies in its first week and has sold more that half a million copies to date.

"In trying to find a venue large enough to contain his ego, Williams settled on three nights at Knebworth Park last month. Playing to 375,000 fans, he was in his element, and this album captures the occasion perfectly."
Daily Mail, September ‘03
"With a series of sold-out European concerts throughout summer 2003, Robbie Williams has both strengthened and enlarged his huge fanbase. The highest profile of these was undoubtedly his series of English gigs at Knebworth, which are now preserved for posterity as a live CD and a live DVD."
Music Week, October ‘03
"Thankfully Mr Williams' Escapology live album doesn't fall short of anything other than scintillating. Robbie's Knebworth gig saw the entertaining supremo perform in front of 375,000 fans over the course of three glorious evenings - and this album is testament to his talent."
