What can I say? This was and I believe always will be the best concert I have ever been to. I was so far back in the crowd that I couldn't even see Robbie Williams but that didn't matter. From the moment he got over 120,000 people bouncing along to LMEY through the wonderful setlist, the funny, poignant, heartfelt chat, to the mass sing-a-long of Angels and the last bounce to Back for Good he captured my heart and it has been his ever since.
The rapport with the audience was simply extraordinary, his talent and charisma overwhelming and the sense of being present at a defining moment in the history of pop music very strong. It was quite simply magical - so much more than a concert. It was an experience I will never forget.
I was there and it was one of the best days of my life, we where quite close to the stage, just behind the enclosure. The sun shone & Robbie was fantastic - wot more could any one ask for?
This was clearly the best concert I have ever been to. The atmosphere was electric from trekking through the park to when RW first took to the stage. I shall never forget when he looked across the colossal crowd and tears rolled down Robbies cheeks, as hopefully, he came to realise that all those people were on his side. He brought me to tears and to be so in control of a crowd who were 100% with him must be amazing. The whole night was fantastic and noone minded the hours it took to exit the park because we'd all shared in a moment of history that night.
The ULTIMATE Robbie Williams, this is what Knebworth was...absolutely HIM, 100%, nothing will never compare those gigs in my opinion...and I distinctively remember thinking, at the end of the second day (I saw 2 of the Knebworth concerts), "Great, now...I can die!"
And thanks to the cameramen for making me end up in the official DVD smiling around in the front row! ;-)
I was lucky enough to get into the front section where you got given a special wristband saying "I got closer to Robbie!"
And what a day it was!!!
I've been a fan since the first moment I laid eyes on him, and was scared to go one of his concerts in case it would ruin my illusion of him, but I was oh so wrong.
IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you pause the dvd at one very specific moment you can see me too!!! ha ha ha!!
Robbie you are the ultimate entertainer!!!
Quite simply the best concert I've ever been to. Robbie Williams is a born entertainer. I don't think any other artist alive today could make every person in a crowd that size feel like what he was saying or singing was directed personally to them. I'll never forget it.
WOW!!! we didn't even know that this was going to be THAT HUGE!! my friend and i actually went to our first concert in england (we're from germany) and it came out to be the best one!
we were very close to the stage (we have never been that close!) and i was so nice to see even robbie beeing speechless! still this is our summer 2003! LOVED THAT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the golden circle, very very close to Robbie although I have been to see Robbie many times this was the best concert in the world!!He should always open with Let me Entertain You (not like the most recent tours) like he always has! Best ever-can't wait for the new album so there's hopefully a new tour!!xx
knebworth was the best and me and my friends are topless on the officil dvd. thats r claim to fame and we love it. we love robbie to and can not wait 4 the next tour.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I am actually now in about £5000 worth of debt becos of this gig and God it was worth it, no wonder the banks are in the pits of a credit crunch becos of me borrowing money lol
10 hours on a bus and a 2 night stay in the last room in Luton (very nice tho) all by myself.
Met 4 complete strangers on the way there and made four friends who i am still in touch with and my pic that u can see is a tattoo i got when i came back and is from one of the T-shirts i got there, i also ruined a £90 jacket that i bought a few weeks later, but i swear, being up to ur knees in mud singing My Way at the end of the gig and being as happy as a pig in Shit! Its something i will never forget! Amazing and would do it all again and will hopefully
xxx
OMG, aside from my children's births and my wedding day, the 1st August 2003 was one of THE best days of my life! I had never been to a concert before, and never expected there to be so many people there. I remember being stood in literally the same spot all day and night, there wasn't even enougfh room to sit, and god did my feet kill the next day, after the mahoosive walk back to the bus park! But it was well worth it. Just wish i could have been closer to the front, (how do you get that close anyway?!). Its a day i'll never forget for the rest of my life, and i doubt neither will anyone else who was there either. Robbie, I just hope you can re-create the magic again, very soon, and i hope to be on the front row when you do! xxxxxxxxxxxx
the best concert i have ever been to!!!!!!!i cannot wait till his next album. and hopefully it will come with a tour. i will def be going, wish i could be on the front row!! xxxxxxx
THE BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO....
it was just amazing ...need another tour sooon. thanks to the guy who lt me sit on his shoulder for about 4 hours ... told him i couldnt find my friends and needed to look for them didnt get off lol
UNFORGETABLE. What an amazing experience and such wonderful memories to have. My friend Amy and I were totally overwhelmed by the sheer size of everything, the crowds especially! We managed to get a view of Robbie but had to watch most of it on the screens. As we live quite far from Knebworth, my parents brought us down and went off for a day of sightseeing. My mum was totally thrilled when they returned early and they were allowed near the entrance to the park and she could see the screens and enjoy the show with everyone else. We had the common sense to start making our way up the field during the last song and got away relatively easy. It wasn't until the next morning that we heard the stories on the news about the gridlock of people trying to get out and of some being stuck there all night. I also heard of a few that were stuck on the motorway getting there and never made it! I'm so thankful that we made it and were there to experience something that will remain with me forever. xxx
It was INCREDIBLE!!!! I've recently been to music festivals for whole weekends which do not even compare to how amazing 1 night of Robbie was!!!!!! I was so excited i passed out haha, the heat probably didnt help that though =P
I remember being up on my dads shoulders waving and swaying along to songs.
There will never be another guy quite like Robbie, he is 1 entertainer that if people dont like him they are only jealous!!
The new album is amazing!! (Face it to be honest all Robbie's music is!!!)
Hope he does a tour some time soon, i would not hesitate to book tickets, even if it meant giving up going to weekend festivals!!!!!!!!
Well this really was the best concert ever. I'm no spring chicken and seen a fair few shows over the years with different artists, but Robbie at Knebworth was by far one of the best. The atmosphere was amazing, the sun was shining, Robbie played the crown beautifully. At the end I cried with the emotion of it all. Then sat in the car listening to his albums waiting for the car park to clear. This really was one of the best days of my life :)
If Robbie ever does Knebworth again I will definitely be there and will take all my family next time. WOW
THE BEST CONCERT EVER!!!
this by far has to be the best concert I have ever been 2 and i was right near the front!! the atmosphere was great. I was up for 24hrs in total that day but it was one of the best days of my life and it made it worth while as I was soooo near the front........if i looked behind me all i cld see was a sea of people...i will never 4get it!! Robbie ws amazing again and was soooo emotional and overwhelmed it made me emotional 2!!
There are gigs, and there are GIGS! As others have so eloquently stated, this was THE show to be at, Robbie at his best doing what he does better than all the rest...Entertaining! Most certainly THE show of this, and the last century. Robbie is a genius! I love his vulnerability, and his ability to completely draw me (not to mention the other 122,000 fans) into his world. I feel so lucky to have been at this show. Robbie Is A GOD!
I was here on this fantastic night! I am gutted to say this is the one and only time I have so far seen Robbie, and it was the best night of my life bar none! Fantastic show I didn't want it to end, the drive home to dorset was horrible!! Robbie put on such a fantastic show, I managed to get quite near the front so had a good view, best gig I have ever been to. Looking forward to seeing you again Robbie on the 11th June in Manchester! Love you!
This has to be one of the best nights in my whole life, Robbie was really and truly brilliant, he sang his heart out and he was visibly emotional at the response to such a huge crowd, the tribute to his mum made us all cry and although i have been at live aid and all sorts of other concerts in my life the whole audience was really buzzing with an energy of togetherness like i have never felt before, it was magic pure musical magic, thankyou Robbie xxx
Without a doubt one of the best days of my whole life. i was there and had the time of my life, it was the best show ever. we are on the dvd as we flashed our boobs and did get robbbies attention even if just for a minute, well worth it.Robbie was brlliannt on top form and i will never forget it, totally fantastical.would love to do it all again. \\\\\\\\\\\\thank you robbie, lets do it again sometime soon,xx
