Absolutely!
The kind of person who completes your sentence, and you don`t have too see for years, though when you eventually do, it`s like time has stood still.
I found mine; my best friend:D

I do not only think soulmates excist, i think i actually married mine. We both feel we make each other whole, we are a unit but also individuals who have the deapest respect for each other.
A chinese woman once told us that we even have husband and wife faces and we celebrate our birthday on the same day.:)

I totally agree with you... I also married my soulmate 31 years ago :)

The only difference is that we don't celebrate our birthday on the same day; my husband celebrates his birthday with Robbie

According to theories popularized by Theosophy and in a modified form by Edgar Cayce, God created androgynous souls, equally male and female. Later theories postulate that the souls split into separate genders, perhaps because they incurred karma while playing around on the Earth, or "separation from God". Over a number of reincarnations, each half seeks the other. When all karmic debt is purged, the two will fuse back together and return to the ultimate

I think I haven't found it yet. :o Does it mean that the best is still waiting for me (in this life)?

Once I met a person who made a great impression on me and I thought that the relationship was good but it was only a nice beginning of an unpleasant end. A complete mistake.

Soulmates/Twinflames are usually brought together for a reason. But often the reason the two don`t come together is because they have issues within themselves that need to be resolved. The other person is the trigger to make you aware of these issues. It's unlikely to two will come together until these issues are identified and worked on.
They support each other`s True Self, the common goals, but not necessarily their physical expression.

A soulmate may not be the 'love' that you had wished for, but rather someone whom you have a soul contract with to come into your life at a certain time to fulfil your plans. It could very well be just a friend. :)

I think I have met my soul-mate, my OH is my soul-mate, we know what each other thinks and how we go about things, just knowing you are that close is a really good feeling, I have never had that feeling with anyone else.

i like this

i think my husband and i are soulmates. we are complete opposites which makes sense after reading the above. together we just fit, make sense. i dont think though we will ever be 'fused back together and returned to the ultimate' because i like to think we are seperate beings though joined by life and all it means

Today I saw this phrase and reflects what I think about soulmates:

"If you decide to fall in love, fall in love with yourself. So no matter if they come and go, the important thing stays with you".

But do not go as far as the Greek myth of Narcissus!:);):D

If the story of "the egg" by Andy Weir http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1128202/pg1 is true you would be your own soulmate.

But isnt love forgiving? We all get hurt in one way or another we are humans its life its what happens afterwards How you deal with it which counts and gets you to your next destination:) of course if someone is intentially trying to hurt you of course thats not healthy.

As soulmates wouldnt you aid each others growth? I suppose it depends on what your definition of soulmates is.

Soulmates - great but dangerous:
'A a soulmate is the person you cannot ever see yourself living without. The lost of your soulmate is the most devastating thing that will ever happen to you because half of your soul dies, too. How do you survive it when all you want is to die, too? How to you move on with your life when all you can think about is the fact that you have lost the most important thing in your life? How do you find any interest in living when all that made it worthwhile is gone?'

I've had some extremely passionate, melding together kisses with someone who is nOt my soul mate. Kissing is AWWEsome, when everything is in sync.:p

I have understood that souls get split many times, so you can have more that one soul mate. Also, that a soul mate is not necessarily a lover.

An odd thing happened to me several years ago. While standing at a food counter; I had a VERY, VERY overwhelming, strong urge to talk to/ get to know/ ask questions of the guy that was standing beside me.

He was good looking, very well put together, but I wasn't at all attracted to him. (I am married, but I do look! Unfortunately, like a lot of the posts I just read, I am not married to my soul mate.) I just felt I HAD to talk to him. I did not. I felt like bursting. I actually held my hand over my mouth to stop myself. It would have come out as a really weird conversation. I have short, friendly chats with people all the time - this would not have been the same.

All I can think of is that perhaps he is a soul mate or I knew him in a previous life or since I was adopted that he might be a family member & I sensed something. I don't know. It's such a shame to not know. I wish I had of said something.

I found a definition: 'A soulmate (or soul mate) is a person with whom one has a feeling of deep or natural affinity, similarity, love, sex, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality, or compatibility.' According to this there are a lot of persons who have found their soulmates. :)

i hope you find someone who really deeply cares about you, who really understands you, who really listens to you,

there is someone for everyone, do not be disheartened, maybe when you least expect it ;) some one will be admiring you from a distance perhaps?

think positive, also its not a bad thing to make the first move, if you really like someone,

i know, i've done it, ok it hurts if they say no and start playing mind games but then you see their true colours.

But how do you know if you dont ask? you might just regret it for a long time.

:)

Do the soulmates like the same things, speak or think in the same way ? Do they understand each other without words (minds transmission) ?

A soulmate is someone who you click with in as much as feelings, love, intimacy, spirituality, you find that you know what each other would do or what they would say or indeed what they are thinking, but not in a mind transmission way, it's a natural connection you have with someone, it's special and I don't think anyone would have that sort of connection with many people in a lifetime, just my thoughts.

Absolutley..& its spiritual...so I think you connect with them, like a magnet drawn together, although it may be something you are unaware of.
