What tattoos do you have?

I've seen Robbie's tattoos being discussed here before but how about your own ones? Tell us the story, where did you get it, what it resembles and what it means to you? Even better if you could provide a link to the picture :)

I've got one and hopefully more to come. It's John Lennon's "self-portrait" on my right arm, the same picture as on the cover of the film 'Imagine', you can see a picture here (http://irc-galleria.net/view.php?nick=Crim&image_id=96770523) . There it will always remind me of who it was to influence nearly every musician there is at the moment, what a great man.

I've been dreaming of the cover image of "With the Beatles" album on my upper back, but I really need an artist I can trust, it can go terribly wrong. That means I need a lot more money but we'll see some day :)

I have 5 tattoos, one of which is the Inner Sanctum logo on my right wrist. My favourite one is my newest one which is on my inner left forearm - it reads 'Numquam Tuas Spes Dedisce' which is latin for Never Forget Your Dreams. Sometimes it feels as though your dreams are all you have.
I am considering another and would love to honour Robbie but don't know what to have or where to have it yet.

There are things or events that had happened in my life and I want them to be with me everytime, so... I've got 7 tattoos: "RW" sign behind my left ear (the same you see as my avatar); notes and chords of "Angels" on my loin (almost the same as Rob has, but the song is diferrent :cool:), two names with the respective dates on my underarms, two pairs of geographical coordinates on my underams (the places I've been for a 5-7 years in Crimea, Ukraine) and Joey (the one cockroach from the "Oggy and The Cockroaches" cartoon :rolleyes:). Sorry, can't provide you with pictures, but... birdy7@yandex.ru. If someone wants to know a bit more...

I've got just one, but every time when I walk near the tattoo shop I wanna go in!
It's addictive, I love the smell and the sound and the ambiance.
But I don't like it when women have a lot of small ones.
I'd rather have one big one then, but I know I would never do that.

I had one done last year (at the age of 45!!). It's a small flower on the inside of my left wrist. The reason - it was a control thing. I have a lot of scars from a car accident and was having major issues with them and wanted to have something put on me that I decided and was my choice, not forced upon by others. I'm really glad I had it done, and can see that it can be very addictive, but at this point in time I have resisted the urge for another one! But, who knows!!

Chinese symbol on the bottom of my back
A tribal prayer for protection on my upper back
A Cross at the base of my neck and leads down between my shoulder blades
My star sign symbol for Libra on my right wrist
The Japanese symbol for the year i was born (the year of the Rat) on the left wrist
My sons name and date of birth on the left inside of my arm
3 stars with shading on my right forearm
A dragon on my right thigh
4 stars on my chest

And my favourite my ROBBIE tattoo which is my avatar and is big 5 inches long 6 inches wide
and theres more to come :D

Have you tried temp tattoos? Or Henna ones? Instead of hurting they tickle n the added bonus of washing off ;)
On holiday last year I had a star on my wrist was well chuffed was doing a shark impression in the pool soas it would stay on longer :D

I never tried them either.
My daughter wanted a tatoo but I said her I wouldn't pay for it cos she was too young to do something for her lifetime... now she's almost 21 and she still doesn't have one - I think that she changed her mind about it but I don't know why :eek:

I have one tattoo.

ONE - not 20 but one. I might get one more but not sure when exactly.

I will never put RW or TT or any of the guy's names on my body. No Jason Orange tattooed on my butt thank you. No way. :) It looks great on some fans and even Robbie but nope - not I said, well me!

I prefer tats that actually state something I believe in opposed to putting a guy's name on me. I feel like if a guy's name is on my body then they have some kind of ownership over me and I'm my own person and I don't like to conform to anyone and no guy either.

With that said, I have the circle of life symbol of "Death, Transformation, Rebirth" from the movie called The Lion King on my left shoulder. My mother wasn't too happy when she saw it back in 1996 but I won't remove it. It holds meaning to me because I was at a point in my life when it was doing just that - the circle of life.

I favorite part of that whole movie - for example, Simba doesn't know he's the king lion of the pride and Rafiki the baboon finds him with Timon and Pumba in the rain forest. So Rafiki is trying to talk to Simba and tell him he's the king of the pride and he bops Simba on the head with his walking stick when Simba won't listen to him or take him seriously. Simba doesn't understand why Rafiki hit him on the head and Rafiki tells him it's the past it doesn't matter why! (it's along those lines the movie but I forget the word for word scene).

Anyway, I plan on having one more tat done tastfully. It will have three pea.co.ck feathers and my chiidren's astrological signs in Hindu. I need to sit and design it out. x

Just because someone has either 1 tattoo or 20 does not mean they are not tasteful :)
All my tattoo's are tasteful and only black or with shading in colour, i have a body to suit tattoo's. The reason i had the Robbie tattoo done was actually a spur of the moment thing when i came back from 2 nights at Knebworth and it was an amazing experience and something to remind me of these amazing days was to get the design from the t-shirt i had bought there. I have been a Rob fan from day one 20 lonnnnnnng years and i'm not saying i should get a medal for that but i wanted something and to me that was appropriate, i don't regret having it done and it actually always gets compliments whether the people who mention it are robbie fans or not :). My body suits the style of tattoo's i have.

The only other name i have on my body is my son's name and again it's done tastefully, like i said there is not one tattoo i have that i regret having done, they all tell a story from a part of my life and i have memories from each of them,

Some would say having a circle from a Disney film is pretty strange just like having a Robbie tattoo is strange. It's different horses for different courses.

Everybody is unique and individual and my body is a storybook and the tattoo's are always well received and tell parts of my life. :)

Sorry, Kitty, didn't realize my thoughts about my body having lots tattoos (the number of them) would be taken to heart. I'm sure your tats are done to your liking since you have so many and have stories that mean something to you - nothing wrong with it. I mean absolutely no harm to you.

But for me personally, I don't want many tattoos on my body - I have one and one only. ;)

I might get one more but I want to be sure it's one I want to wear when I'm 80 and pushing around a walker. :D I also have no interest putting my kids names on me either. They have their own bodies to do that when they are able to make their own adult decisions.

My second tat (I've been debating about this for years) has something to do with my kids but it's not 100 percent them. It has to mean something to me before I go off to an artist and get it on me.

Thanks for the tip. I don't have the parent problem (what am I talking about, I'll be 50 soon lol) as my dad has led the way with a row of ten ear rings to celebrate one of his 'big' b.days. He's all for this latest idea of mine.
