Hello folks :D

Today marks a very important day for a couple of reasons;

1) There are now less than 6 months to Christmas day:eek:

2) Today marks 100 days until the eve of the release of Robbie's new single with Gary Barlow ,"Shame".

Now, according to my calculations, that's 3 months and 8 days away! I dont know about you, but that is a long while, so to make the wait a little less painful and a bit more fun, I thought I would set myself a challenge. Every day for the next 100 days, I will attempt to post a "video of the day". These videos will cover as many aspects of Robbie's 20 year career as possible, and will include music videos, interview clips, photos, basically whatever I can get away with :D.

This is all just for fun, feel free to comment, but please remember that this thread is meant as a positive celebration of Robbie's career to date.

I know! I heard of the song, but never listened to it before. I only clicked yesterday that Maxi Jazz is the front man of Faithless. One of my all time fav tracks is Insomnia! That's mega :o:o:o!

Robbie Williams is set to rejoin Take That for a new album and a 2011 tour.


Robbie Williams is rejoining Take That.

The 36-year-old singer - who quit the pop group in 1995 - is set to reform with his one-time bandmates for a 2011 tour and a new album.

A source said: "Everything is in place now to formally announce Robbie's return to Take That for one year only. He will announce his comeback with a public statement."

Robbie and singer Gary Barlow, 39, also plan to make light of their previous difficulties in new song 'Shame' with a music video inspired by 'Brokeback Mountain' - which tells the story of two cowboys secretly in love.

The song focuses on Robbie's feelings for the band, in particular when they reunited without him in 2005 following their break-up in 1996.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "In the song there's a line about how he went into children's shop Toys R Us and saw the four Take That dolls in a box and realised he felt left out."

The single will be included on Robbie's upcoming greatest hits album, 'In and Out of Consciousness: The Greatest Hits 1990-2010', which he plans to release early in September so he can focus on the Take That projects afterwards.

Robbie achieved huge success as a solo artist after leaving Take That but has seen his career flounder in recent years, while Gary, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Jason Orange have had two UK number one albums, 'Beautiful World and 'The Circus', since reuniting.

Sorry Im a little late with this, but in light of yesterday's news I though I should change today's posting to reflect the announcement.

Rob was apparently supposed to sing the lead vocal on "Relight my Fire", but for reasons including management politics (ahem), and maybe a few late nights (ahem ahem), Gary was choosen to sing the lead instead. With the new Take That album being released, Rob did not have a lead on any of the tracks, so Gary quickly ran off (with a couple of pals) to write this song specifically for Rob. It became the lead track as well as the title of the first straight to no1 album Take That album. The track subsequently became Rob’s first ever no1 performing lead vocal. Fair compromise in the end then LOL.

Robbie's forthcoming single Shame, featuring Gary Barlow, is released on 4th October and the fabulous duo will be hitting BBC Radio 1 on Thursday, 26th August 2010 when they'll be joining Chris Moyles and premiering the track. I think in typical Robbie fashion the lyrics will be pretty poignant and heartfelt but the video will be a total send up. :p

I like the balance that they struck... Robbie is on top but Gary is closer to the camera, there is an equality to it without it being readily apparent. Fans of each will have something to champion and laud over the others but in reality they are basically equals

Yes all the pointless and trite arguments will no doubt be churned over by the 'haters'. Cant be avoided, but the more people who talk about the cover, the more free publicity the single will get. So we are going to have about 6 weeks of this! Yikes! :eek:

I do find myself focusing on their eyes, have to say the photography is very good. Never knew that Gary had such nice eyes! They look very similiar to Robbie's:eek:

I know it does seem an odd decision. But this is just another in a very long line of recent odd decisions. They must know what they are doing. (ahem!)

The Wanted and JLS had long lead up times to their singles, and they both got to no1. There is hope yet! Plus it will give me time to save up the 99p for the single.

Now if I take 17p every week for 6 weeks out of my budget ... LOL
