Even my dog could have predicted Robbie would release a new album before 2012.

In the spirit of
12th October 2011
simply trying to give information and also be a wee bit amusing/harmlessly provocative.
I did this...
12th October 2011 If you did a bit of due dilgence on this site, you would find that my previous postings show that I am proved right in terms of album announcements etc.
And came up with the following conclusions. Ahem.
4th November 2009 Robbie Williams will make it to Number 1....and there are a number of reasons why...
JLs are on course in the midweeks to sell less singles than both Alexandra and Cheryl did. Both their albums sold 120-130k first week, so it's likely that JLs will do around the same.
Robbie has got absolutely tons of promotion ahead. Aside from JR this Friday, he has the whole Loose Women show on Monday. On Sunday there are four different programs about him and his album and second single on Channel 4 alone. Robbie will definitely beat JLS to number 1 but he'll probably only hold the number one slot for one week and his total album sales for RKTVS will reach around 1,000,000 in UK / 3,000,000 worldwide. Times have changed. No album reaches 5,000,000 global sales anymore.
Number 2 is only one behind JLS's number one, I suppose...but wait, what's this?
12th November 2009
I told you!.
JLS are shifting more units per day now.....there is no way in which Robbie will come out on top.
Expect the gap to grow even more tomorrow.
Oh. Ok, then...
Moving on..
12th December 2009 All of which tells me one thing. He should never rejoin Take That.
Rejoining Take That would squeeze the life out of Rob and he would end up looking out of place.
That would be AWFUL!!
16th February 2010 I heard from an insider that Take That and Robbie Williams will be announcing the following:-
A joint greatest hits album + new song material attached to this album.
A further announcement will be made about a shared UK stadium tour (Wembley etc) where Take That will play their songs, RW will perform his songs, and also joint new material etc..
OR they'll announce a European tour for Progress. Which was all new material. But the tour format was right, so kudos for that.
But meanwhile, it's The Brits, and Robbie's Lifetime Achievement Award!
16th February 2010
Expect Take That to give him the award...
Perhaps they did it backstage...
Back to Reality (the album, that is...)
19th April 2010 Do You Mind is to be the 4th single released from Reality Killed the Video Star
Nope, it wasn't. So onwards to IAAOC, and Shame...
24th August 2010 Just heard Shame. It is a bit of a mess. Expect the reviews to be awful.
Although nobody claimed it was a classic, I don't recall there being an overwhelming tide of negativity towards Shame. Ah, but wait! Just two days later...
26th August 2010 Shame. A banker for number 1.
It got to number 2, but considering it was a bit of a messthat's rather good, really
On to the Brits 2011
1st December 2010 Expect Take That to be very prominent at The Brits. Best Album award for Progress.
OR Mumford and Sons' Sigh No More, which actually won Best Album
Now, remember that whole "Robbie would be mad to rejoin Take That" thing from December 2009? Well, I guess everybody is entitled to change their mind, but I got whiplash reading this...
21st December 2010
Progress is fantastic and they are all enjoying hard won praise from all types of music critics. I personally think it is the best work of Robbie's career, and one of the best pop albums of all time.
Robbie would be mad to leave all of this behind again. He seems happy, content and it has fuelled his creative energy. Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow are now getting the best from each other and long may it continue.
I cannot see this ending for a while...at least another album and tour - which will take it up to the summer of 2013....
Phew. I am so glad the exact opposite of
Rejoining Take That would squeeze the life out of Rob and he would end up looking out of place. happened.
Back to the Brits...
14th February 2011 Rumour has it that Take That will win Best Group and Best Album....
No, still only Best Group
And so to the new Robbie album!
1st August 2011 New album details...
All good things to those who wait...but wait not much longer (as previously stated)
2 and a half months later, we're still waiting...
16th September 2011
New album 2011. Big news in a couple of weeks....
A month later....still waiting...
22nd September 2011
Official announcement coming soon....
Soon being a relative term, presumably...
4th October 2011 Dear forum..
I told you so. I said thst there would be a major announcement soon. Rob 'leaving' Take That to focus on his solo career is part of that announcement.
Solo album and new single launch details to follow very soon...
Rob to appear on X Factor to launch his new song.
Yes, you did. As did every speculative media commentator. And we're still waiting on that album news...
And when people began to get antsy...
5th October 2010
I apologise for creating such a fuss. If I have crossed I line, then I am really sorry - it was not my intention to upset anyone.
It was my intention to plant a few genuine/well founded rumours about the forthcoming announcement of Rob's new album/single. I used the delete option to get rid of comments that may have provoked too far, and with hindsight I felt it best to occassionally remove the odd comment. But also, my comments are occassionally deleted by moderators rather than myself.
I am however a bit annoyed about some of the personal attacks and feedback given to my comments. I have never criticised anyone's comments on this site, and yet there are a number of people who feel a need to take all my comments personally and then project their feelings into personal criticism towards me. Such behaviour is really unfair.
I suggest therefore, that the people who operate in this way see my comments for what they are - a bit of fun, a bit of information and a bit of insight - rather than malicious intent. If I receive further petty criticism then I will stop commenting and also deactivate my account - as it is just not worth the hassle.
12.10.11.
xx
Balmullo, I am absolutely certain that it is never your intention to upset anybody, and that none of your posts are made in malice. But given all of the above, and your reluctance to name your sources - which, as has been shown, seem to be dodgy at best anyway - are you really surprised that people are cynical?
I went through every single post of yours on this forum, and not once did you say "Well, I got that wrong, didn't I?". Instead, you continue to present information as solid fact. True, it's up to each individual to decide how to interpret what you write and you cannot be responsible for their disappointment when things don't pan out as you have foretold...but at the same time, don't be surprised if that disappointment manifests itself in hostility. If you give it out, you have to be prepared to take it.
So, having applied due diligence as requested, and having found no evidence of you ever having been right, when it comes to that humble pie, I'm thinking that the one person who was giving it out is the one who should be eating it ;)

It is incredible that I am the source of such speculation. I am becoming more influential on this site than Robbie himself.
I am sorry that some of my information titbits have been proved wrong. However, this is not always the case - often they are proved correct.
Take it or leave it - So many people appear to get in a tizzy over my comments.
My information is based on music trends, sources and the odd prediction - this is not always a 100% guarantee of success, but hey, I am just trying to pass on information, in the good spirit to which it is intended.

I'm getting a bit confused as to what the new album will sound like as Robbie seems to say something different each time he mentions it LOL.
First he described it to sound a bit like Escapology which I took to mean quite rocky and upbeat. Then he said it was full of pianos and guitars which I took to mean ballady  and now he's saying he wrote it with stadiums in mind which suggests to me large anthem type songs.
So which is it to be?
Maybe a mixture?
Maybe I should just wait and see..... ;)

I think it's a mixture of it all.... and as we know... Rob likes to change his mind A LOT, so I think you're right, we might not find out before the album's out... Can't wait though! It all sounds amazing, whether it's like Escapology, or filled with ballads, or big stadium tracks... To me all of that sounds Aaaamazing! :D

I just stumbled over this on Facebook, posted by a Robbie fan page:
http://thattersworldarg.blogspot.com/2012/01/nuevas-canciones-de-robbie.html?spref=fb
I don't know what it really says, since I don't understand that language... (Maybe some friendlies do??) But what I've got from it, is that it is a list of song titles which is set to be on Rob's new album?
I don't know how much we should lay in it... It says that Guy Chambers is the co writer on many of them... and that is not very likely if you ask me, so I don't really believe it....
But it's got it from this website:
http://repertoire.bmi.com/writer.asp?fromrow=1&torow=25&keyname=WILLIAMS%20ROBERT%20PETER&querytype=WriterID&keyid=681376&page=1&blnWriter=True&blnPublisher=True&blnArtist=True&affiliation=PRS&cae=162537572

So, I'll try my best... German guy translating spanish stuff to english... Sounds like a recipe for disaster I guess...
"According to a website where all the singers and composers register their songs, several new "themes" (songs I assume) have recently appeared in Robbie Williams' section.
The majority of these songs seem to have been written in collaboration with Guy Chambers and it's possible that there are very old songs among them, e.g. "Love is Where I'm From". Rob wrote this song with Guy Chambers and Nicole Appelton, but it was not included on any of his albums so far.
Some of the songs/lyrics have been quoted in "Together", the book by Nic. (?)
The addition of these songs might indicate that some of the titles will be featured on Rob's new album, but you can't be 100% sure"
Alright, so this is what I understood. Only learned spanish for 2 years, but for now that'll do. Maybe some native speaker or so can correct some of my mistakes in case I made any major blunders.
Anyway, there are other sites like BMI and basically, you can find every song that has ever been written by any singer or composer on there, including loads of tracks that have never been released and certainly will never be released. So I wouldn't take it for granted that the majority - if any - of the titles mentioned will actually be included on the final album. Especially given the fact that Guy Chambers co-wrote so many of these songs, they might just be tremendously old songs that no one has discovered until now... If you look through some of these sites, you'll even find Rob titles as exotic as "Ewigkeit", a supposedly german version of "Eternity" - a song that I strongly assume will never ever be released in any way.

Oh folks....
I have really sad news (for me).
Rob has a new quitarist for album and Tour.
NEIL TAYLOR is no longer Rob's guitarist. :(
Message from Neil.
For the newsletter i asked Neil if he had anything to share with his fans, and he had...here's his message to all of you:
Hi everyone ,
The show with Mike Andrew went really well it was sold out, i took my family with me they had a great time. I had an accident the night before..we went to see Mike and Linsey at the venue and Johnny wanted to play bowling, his ball got stuck and wouldnt come out of the tube..it was spinning around fast,i went to grab it out but didnt realise it was spinning upwards..it took my third finger inside the cylinder and damaged the cuticle badly. It was hard to play my show, but a few shots of Tequila and the adrenalin did the trick.
I had also had a few technical problems with my show but i got through it and it was nice to play in a big place again even though not firing on all fingers, i really enjoyed it.
Johnny got up and sang 'Best Dad In The World' i must say he sang it brilliantly and brought the house down, people were crying with his emotional performance.. he signed alot of autographs after the show in between eating his crisps..ha ha.
Mike Andrews show was great he really has Robbie down..i got up and played on Rock Dj,Come Undone and Angels...it brought back the memories of being on stage with Rob, a pleasure i wont have anymore... Robbie has a new guitarist, he wanted to change the band around a bit. I think that's sad news too
I will miss seeing him behind Robbie and wish him well with his solo projects. He is such a great bloke and guitarist.

That's very sad news & quite unexpected. The familiar faces of Rob's band have always been very important to me & part of his performance. I really missed them being with him during his own Progress Tour part. Do you really just 'change things up' with Neil:confused:. Wow, why do I feel mad:eek: at him. I guess there's info we don't know. )<: There must be more to this.
I suppose it has to be looked at as for the best, so Neil can concentrate on his own career. Would it be hard to accommodate both? Hmm.
Who else; are there more?

It is a shame but I'm not all that surprised. After only Gary Nuttall did Progress Live, I did wonder if the writing was on the wall.
Things move on I guess.
I wonder who the new guitarist will be?
Interesting times ahead.
Yes, it's really sad news, but I hope that Gary Nuttall will stay with Robbie, because for me he's the second man in Robbie's band after Robbie of course;) I'm glad that Neil has concentrated on his solo career, after all he has himself written that there is everything good between him and Robbie! Good luck to him and to Robbie of course!:)

Our discussing of possible album's cover more fits for this topic.
To be honest I don't want Rob's photo on it. Each album had his photo and I think time is coming to put something more conceptual this time.
BTW, today Mika has announced his new album (what will be released on 17, Sept) and the cover like current picture on RW's homepage ;)

Robbie Williams truly is a legend of pop rock and I can not wait to get this album. I predict that this will be one of the best albums coming out this year. The songs will be very touchy and will create good feeling like the other songs angels, supreme, feel etc. Overall i am expecting the old touchy ROBBIE WILLIAM.
Okay, I know that this thread was originally opened to discuss the shape of "Take The Crown" as the back then upcoming album. So what I'm going to do is a little bit to abuse the thread, I hope you're all okay with that.
Which genre do you think would be the best choice for a new Robbie album after the "Swing 2"?
Different ideas float around in my head, and I cannot say what could be the best.
Like I told in the "Rudebox" thread, I'm a big fan of the idea to make a 2nd "Rudebox". But the expected (commercial and critc's) response dims my hopes.
Another possibility is a "modern" album with electronic and dubstep influences. But the problem about this "dancefloor emperor" vision is Robbie's (presumably displeased) audience and the fact that it would look like a reissue of Take That's "Progress".
Then there's the idea of a classic Guy/Robbie pop album. But I'm not sure if songs in the style of "Rock DJ" or "Millenium" could still work.
The last option I see is "the crooning Robbie" working with acoustic sounds. And I do not mean songs in Take That's style with a disposition to the flourish. I mean this reduced and light songs like Robbie wrote in his early years with Guy (e.g. "Better Man", "Eternity" or "Mandalay").
I dont like putting labels on music... What is heaven from here? What is by all means necessary? What is one of gids better people? What is blasphemy? What is i will talk? Its just extremely smart and wonderful written music... Its sophisticated, its clever, its not overproduced but not boring, its the definition of robbie williams but not full of himself... I've said it before... He HAS TO find someone who knows how to write music, how to produce JUST the amount thats needed... He needs someone who knows how to put his guft as a songwriter in the perfect light... Sh... On the radio... I mean how can someone think he can pull that off? Katy perry maybe able to... But even she wont be able to do that with 39... I think a perfect example for growing musically but not losing you style is pink...
But whatever he will do, I'm gonna give it a shot :-)
