I think Robbie's lyrics are genius.
Even when he was pulled apart in some quarters for Rudebox, I still loved his lyrics on that album. He is able to express all the things everyone of us feels in just a few lines and always manages to tell a story within each song. ![]() I know I'm biased - but there you go....

In 2003 I lost a baby at 27 weeks pregnant.
I bacame a Robbie fan in 2004 when I found myself pregnant again & was anxious about carrying another baby & found the song Feel & Betterman....send someone to love me...oh so touched my heart & soul in so many ways. Then when my little girl arrived safely...as a tiny baby she would be feeding away and the song angels would come on, she would pull away off the boob and look around the room up above smiling away until the song ended, then would go straight back to feeding. I was amazed & wondered what she could see. Then whenever she was upset, the only thing that would settle her was being in her daddys arms, head on his shoulder, while he walked around the lounge room with Robbie's music playing quite loud. The more songs i listened to the more i fell in love with his music & was shocked as to how many of the lines were things i say or thought about that relate to my life. Everyday I live with grattide for making me the person I am today. For without him & his music ...well lets just say I am ever so grateful...words are not enough. I first heard him on the Radio right after I moved out of NYC to the Philadelphia area. I remember it exactly. I was in my kitchen. I had the radio on, and Milleninum came on. I fell instantly for that song and ran out and bought The Ego has Landed. I saw him on Jay Leno maybe twice, once giving Simon Cowell a lap dance, that was hysterical. Simon's face was priceless..I think he liked it..lol. Katie Couric looked like she was in love..lol..Another time he was on Jay leno and Angelina Jolie was on. He was really young, and so adorable..He had a look on his face like "what the hell is wrong with this crowd." but he took it all in stride. I didn't hear from him till the world of computers came and I found Youtube and I instantly looked for the man that disappeared, and there he was with about 400 songs that I never heard and couldn't stop playing. That was it for me. I started buying every DVD, and CD he made straight from the U.K. Heidi (USA)

It started when I saw him performing "Feel" in the TV-show "Wetten, dass..." in Vienna in December 2002. Immediately I was fascinated by the song and by his performance as well as by his wit and charm in the interview afterwards.
In the following years I bought all his albums, the old ones and the new ones. |

I became a fan after hearing 'It Only Takes a Minute' back in 1992... I loved all of TT but Robbie was always my favourite. No square inch of my teen bedroom was left uncovered, even the ceiling and inset of the window had pics of Rob...Luckily I grew out of that
I think I just thought he was cute - my first crush! And he was always funny and cheeky, too...and then when he went solo I loved the music and here I still am, buying the tracks and going to gigs.

I'm a Take That fan so have always been a fan of Robs through his being in the band, leading me to support him in his solo endeavors on his leaving.
