I completely forgot about Wembley! Robbie was meant to be the first gig there wasn't he? And then it moved to Milton Keynes - it doesn't quite sound the same. But I enjoyed it nevertheless! I think my mum became an IS member for that reason too!!!
I saw Tim Minchin and Mark Watson doing a show - they were very funny. I thought I'd really dislike Tim Minchin, but I was pleasantly surprised. I went to see Eddie Izzard performing with the Comedy Store Players the other week - that was really stressful to get tickets! It's only a little gig - about 300 seats and it was a sell out the minute Eddie Izzard went onto the lineup. But they hold up to 100 tickets to sell on the night. My friends finished work early and queued up for them. The bouncer told them that they had 70 tickets left and they were the final 2, but there were 4 of us. So we thought we might as well queue and see if there were any returns. But by this point we'd really given up hope. And then Neil - one of the comedians - arrived and stopped by the box office to return 2 tickets that he'd taken for friends of his. It was like fate! But yeah, that was pretty stressful! I'm terrible at ticket buying! |

![]() I watched his So F**king Rock show the other night and, like Bry, wasn't sure if he'd be my cup of tea (he seemed to be a bit of a Bill Bailey type comedian) but I was very pleasantly surprised, thought he was brilliant, musically very clever with his songs and lyrics and his stand-up was very funny. I'd only seen him on the Buzzcocks b4 that. |

those small gigs are the best aren't they Bry? but when there's only a couple of hundred seats it is a nightmare! I've even known Russell's warm up gigs be announced, go on sale, & sell out before I've even heard about it lol!
![]() but most of theatres do have returns lists & it's always worth getting your name on them, as long as you're prepared to drop everything & be there in a couple of hours! |

They are indeed. One of my favourite places to go is the Comedy Store, especially to see the Comedy Store Players (Paul Merton, Josie Lawrence, Neil Mullarkey, Lee Simpson, Richard Vranch and Andy Smart do an evening of improv - just a bit of a comedy plug there
)... but thankfully, they announce their lineups about a month or so in advance and they tend to sell out if all the regulars are there or there is a big name guesting with them. So it's just a matter of planning, which I quite like looking at the listings and planning which of my Sunday evenings will be spent there!

Hairy men... hmm, not my thing. Nothing against them, there are yummy ones. It is not something I fancy though.
I do like going with my hands through a man's hair! Soft & easy, or a bit (!) rougher ín the heat of the moment.
