The first acts confirmed for this year's Royal Variety Performance have just been announced.

This year's Royal Variety will be staged at the London Palladium on December 9th and will be hosted by Michael McIntyre.

The show will be broadcast on BBC1 on Thursday 16th December at 8pm.

Paint That ... the lads will perform at the Royal Variety show

TAKE THAT must have spent a fortune in B&Q ahead of tonight's Royal Variety Performance.

The manband's backing dancers will be drenched in bodypaint while they prance about on stage at the London Palladium.

Blokes in the audience will be snapping up those little red binoculars to get a closer look.

They'll have plenty to gawp at, as Take That have never done a show with so many dancers.

A source said: "The lads always put on a spectacle and this will be no different.

"A top bodypainting stylist is on board and the dancers are going to look out of this world."

It'll be interesting to see what PRINCE CHARLES and the rest of the royals think of the naughty artwork from their posh seats.

Luckily for the lads, they won't be getting the paint treatment.

No amount of cash could get them in the buff again - although ROBBIE WILLIAMS pulled a moony for 20 quid the other week.

GARY BARLOW insisted their days of peeling off were well and truly behind them at the press conference to announce the Progress tour.

It's a shame this wasn't the case before they filmed that Do What You Like video.

I've refused to eat squirty cream ever since.

what is going on with their clothes? Gary has that hideous shirt with a very nice Black suit, Jason and Robbie look flawless, Howard is in chocolate jacket with needs pressed, the faded black tshirt and Mark, the string tie thing and a horrible stone taupe colored shirt thing with a gray vest.

I am not asking for a uniform but could we all work in the same color pallet?

Robbie looks the best, to me, he has got the style just right, he is looking very streamline in his suit, the suit is the perfect cut, the lapels are not too big, and I like the thin tie Robbie is wearing too, he has got the look he had at the Brits. Perfect

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall's evening of Royal Variety entertainment was marred when their Rolls- Royce limousine was attacked by a protester.

Charles and Camilla were special guests at the star-studded event at the London Palladium, where Kylie Minogue, Take That, Ray Davies and Cheryl Cole were among the big names performing.

But just minutes from the venue, a protester campaigning against the rise in tuition fees badly cracked a rear side widow of the couple's luxury limousine.

The Prince and Duchess were unhurt and made it on time to the theatre, where they emerged from the vehicle looking relaxed and smiling.

During a brief reception in the Palladium's foyer tonight, Camilla shared a laugh with Robbie Williams of Take That, while Charles chatted to the rest of the band.

Kylie, who wore a sparkling red mini dress and thigh boots, was also greeted by the couple.

The black-tie Royal Variety Performance is one of the highlights of the entertainment world and raises thousands for charity.
