GOLDEN GOAL COMPETITION 2012
Today RWFU are kicking off our Soccer Aid Golden Goal competition! This is only meant as a bit of pre-match fundraising fun, but the competition winner will receive an AMAZING prize : A signed copy of Rob's legendary anthem "Angels," 2 demo discs for "Make Me Pure" and "Somethin' Stupid", 3 glossy photos of Robbie and a even a signed postcard! What self respecting Robbie fan wouldn't want those items in their collection?! All you need to do is decide which player you think will score the first goal at Soccer Aid, and make a donation to UNICEF and Soccer Aid in the usual way. At the point where you are invited to leave a message, type in GG along with the name of your chosen player. That bit's important! So if you think Robbie is going to score first, type "GG Robbie Williams". If more than one person chooses the player that scores the Golden Goal we'll put all of those names into a hat and draw the winner from there. But there are no losers anyway, for in return for your kind donation you will get a fun avatar to use all over the internet in the form of a little mini you in a footie kit, customised especially for you. You can choose your nationality, hair length and colour and whether you want a boy or a girl avvie, we've even done them for pets! There are lots of them popping up already, but we want to turn the whole internet blue! Please, please, please donate if you haven't already done so - this year looks as if it could be record-breaking, we're at £717 now! but there is always room for more. And don't forget, every donation made on the page entitles you to a personalised avatar! To make a donation, simply follow the link:

Simply text RWFU55 with the amount of your donation to 70070 - so if you wanted to donate £5, that would be RWFU55 £5 Text donations are not eligible for avatars - not because we're tight!! but because there's no way of recording exactly who has donated. However, don't forget that the UK government has pledged to match all donations to Soccer Aid pound for pound, so your donation will really make a difference. Text donations can only be made from inside the UK. Other things you need to know about Text Donation are as follows: The minimum amount per donation is £1. The maximum amount per donation is £10. Donations can only be in the amount of £1, £2, £3, £4, £5, and £10. An individual can give a maximum of £30 per day (e.g. three text donations of £10 each). If you would like to claim Gift Aid on your donation, just follow the instructions in the reply text from Just Giving. You're all brilliant - thank you!

Just another quick note about Just Text Giving - if you donate via RWFU, your network provider WILL NOT CHARGE YOU for the donation text. I know it sounds picky, but for anybody on a PAYG phone, it all helps!

CONGRATULATIONS! You're all bloody wonderful. We smashed through the £1000 target, and raised a MASSIVE £1349 for UNICEF!
If you donated, you should be very, very proud of yourself. Give yourself a huge pat on the back. You have made a difference to a child's life. How amazing is that? And if you haven't donated - what are you waiting for? The page will remain open until 27th August, so there is still plenty of time.
