Scosha and Laura, looks like we can send three husbands to the pub together during the next tour!!

EVENTUALLY they will understand. I am already catching my husband whistling Rob's songs occasionally. He has even asked me to find the chords to a song, which I did.

To Paul, thank YOU for your sweet reply! I am always imagining how the friends he mentions must feel when they hear their names. I grin all the time like an idiot. Most names are familiar to me from the blog and I remember most of the comments as I like to read all of them. (Almost all know what I mean ...) Of course I am wishing for 2012 that one day it will be me Who doesn't ???

However, I am also glad to see more and more men here (hello Brett!) and I would like to give a shoutout to the men: Yes, it's cool to like Robbie Williams!! And yes, the community here consists of mostly women but aren't we a friendly bunch?

Lots of love all around and a happy new year! To world domination!
Silke xx

Well I can beat that there is barely anyone in my real life who is even remotely interested in Robbie or TT - they just don't feature on their radar at all - that's why I come online.

My children humour me, my Mum likes Robbie and has a budding interest in TT after coming to Wembley (last year now we're 2012). My friends aren't interested, my work mates aren't interested. No one's interested LOL.

My husband likes his music but doesn't like the perceived persona

But as I've said before my husband owns and wears two Farrell polo shirts now and hasn't got a clue about the Robbie connection so I get the last laugh.

Tee hee.

I have another husband for the pub! I, or we will be travelling from Canada & I'll attend any concerts alone - total immersion - don't want to stifle myself at all - not freely act looney tunes, I mean.
The 'rolling eyes' syndrome: Rob is sorta, kinda good looking - right! If I was vERy into....Radiohead, they wouldn't think twice or care a bit! Do they assume I am into the music because of his looks? - I'm insulted! I'm wanting to announce this but then I feel it might look as if there were something to defend. For me, I wouldn't be here if first the music & voice didn't make such a big connection.

The person that is Rob or Robbie is a very, very pleasant & special extra. Which does give me added understanding & enjoyment of the music, when you're so privy to where his thoughts come from. Now, does that explain the dreamy pic on my desktop or the copious amount of pics I've saved in picture files? (which THEY haven't seen) As a nice gesture; on my own volition, I did remove my screensaver! I didn't mind being greeted by Rob's eyes, upon entering the room, but I know my husband wasn't too kean!

Yes - "Where are my men at?" (Come Undone - Amsterdam)

I understand Rob's world domination comment for inspiration & I'll jump on it, but I'm afraid I wouldn't like to share him with, say, the 'huge USA" - with exception, of course, those who have been cleaver enough & proactive enough to have already been following him - for eg. PaulUSA....& 1,000's others.
It's somehow even more special when a person becomes a fan when the artist is not played on the radio multiple times a day or in the news a lot & you have to work (some times very hard) to find the music. If that's ok with the UK fans that I give some special props to us foreign (ugly word) fans for our efforts.

Mine for the pub too then!
We're a like minded bunch.
I'm lucky I have friends who are Robbie followers and we can have a good chat and swap stories although we tend to go to different concerts.
I got TT themed pressies so he must be mellowing because I used to get the 'here she goes again' and the rolling of the eyes as soon as the Robbie word came up in conversation
But shhhhh! not sure he knows I'm in here

No Robbie screensaver for me at home

The only Robbie we have in our house is the calendar in the kitchen.

My desk at work is another matter.....

Oooooh - It took a while to see but that's the point, isn't it!!? Perfect......that's one 'intonation' I've been pondering - how to say things quietly.....or, were you just matching your avatar! Well, I've used it now, haven't I.....but would it be ok to utilize this brilliance once in a while? (excuse my child-like excitement, this 'quiet' technique is probably known by all but I hadn't thought of it)

I do need a laptop, like probably all of you use; more portable & my screen wouldn't shine brightly into our family room!

The sensible thing would be for 'partners' to take advantage of the 'Robbie Effect'. Certainly after watching one of his concerts - live or conveniently on video; it might inspire the need for a 'wild ride on the rocket'!! You know, being unable to sleep & all!
There must have been a lot of 'launching' after the Progress Tour!

(thanks Itina learjet, for the inspiration)

I have also bought him a couple of bits from Farrell and he has no idea of the Rob connection, bless! How fab to belong to this lovely community where we can all share our love for Rob even if our 'home' life is Rob free. xxxx
