East Africa Needs Your Help
East Africa is in a state of crisis and, as UK Ambassador for UNICEF, Robbie is asking for your help.
The devastating drought, the worst in 50 years, the conflict and the rising food prices have together created a situation that means over 2m children under the age of five in the region are currently at risk. Risk of disease. Risk of starvation.
In just one refugee camp in Kenya, there are nearly half a million people in urgent need of food, water and basic healthcare. The situation throughout the region is becoming more and more critical; the threat of starvation is very real.
UNICEF is on the ground doing what they can but need to raise much more vital life-saving funding. They need your help.
Please donate what you can, any amount is welcome, to help UNICEF to bring aid to those suffering in East Africa.

sad to see this news dosent get as many messages as others on this site. we in the western world need to take a long hard look at our fortunate lives and send money and if not at least an abundance of love to our neighbours. stop and wonder why you were born where you were and not in a third world country?
:D
Happy to help Rob...I'm a mother of three...can't bear to see the suffering! (PAYPAL works ok from Australia.) Love your work Rob..Get well soon.<3 <3 xxx
Such a sad sad and devastating situation!! We needa do something for our poor innocent children. Pls donate.
just wanted to add that in addition to monthly debits, the usual card payments and the TXT option above, UNICEF also accept payment by paypal... if that makes it easier for peeps (it did for me). - i must admit, ive never bothered with the robbie facebook crowd. anything that attracts millions instantly intimidates me, I havent got a voice loud enough to be heard in a crowd so large. it seems it was for the best. - maybe this is the best place for the tshirts to be discussed. i know scrummy mummys had some great ideas for this too. xxx
well done for speaking up about this. So much focus has been aimed at certain red top papers and people who seem to want to rule the world for all the wrong reasons. Meanwhile people are starving , dying and it should not be happening. The media has not given the crisis the coverage it deserves. People like you encouraging the public to give a damn, to see and to care is vital. God bless you and every heart you touch x
Just read you're appeal again robbie and immediately donated, really pulls on my heart strings to know that these children are suffering the things which we take for granted, we live so well in comparison to people in these countries that we can so easily give. Its So hard to believe we all live in the same world Love Lisa xxx
Re-Fundraising idea: I'd love to buy a T-Shirt like that. I like the "friends in different languages"-idea but I'd also love a "friends"-T-Shirt designed by Rob himself.
Let's help these poor and innocent children!!!!We do have so much so that we can think of them sometimes. With love Tatiana
I already give a monthly donation for children in India but I'm glad to see that you, dear Robert, offer this possibility to all the people that participate in your website. I encourage everybody to help because grain by grain we can make a mountain. Bless you all. LOVE LOVE
Dear Robbie, what do you think about this project? http://paulavion.com/avion-in-africa.html

when you give with your heart, all that is something we take turns so cold as the money becomes a moment for the recipient, love, hope, smile, fun, education, health care and food for those who unfortunately all these things has. if the world wanted to help these people, these children, there would be no need to ask to donate money. k.
Yeah we sure Did RWisalmostGod I did notice that they stopped with the cold, harsh un educated comments!! Low lifes!!
Fundraising idea from your clever friends thought I'd copy it here to maybe help it get noticed. Bound to be a winner xxxx "IM A FRIEND OF ROBBIE by Forever Friend Julie - 15 Jul 2011 - 7:36pm "IM A FRIEND OF ROBBIE T-SHIRT" Maybe we could all buy an "I'm a friend of Robbie t-shirt"through this site and all our money could go to UNICEF in their time of need. When we all go to see Robbie we could wear our t-shirts and we would know who our friends are and be able to share and chat about our experiences with Robbie. Also when performing he would know where his friends are.(usually at the front bursting for a pee but don't want to loose their front spot.LOL)Also Robbie if you ever do a show for us friends we could all wear our tops like one big happy family and maybe then you can do lots of songs we want to hear but you haven't sang for ages. What do you think about this?Best wishes and love to you and Ayda.Your friend forever Juliexxx. @Forever Friend Julie – by LinzB - 15 Jul 2011 - 7:39pm @Forever Friend Julie – that's a great idea! What do you think Robbie? "I'm Rob's mate", 'We're just good friends', or maybe the word 'friend' in lots of different languages to represent your friends all over the world.
Well done Rob for your work with UNICEF again. I learnt a lot with all I did for Soccer Aid last year - just so sad that so many kids continue to suffer ... Keep up the support everyone! ps And comments below confirm to me yet again why I don't sign up to Facebook even though more and more TT/RW stuff goes on there and I miss out... Just gonna stick to here x
I already support Unicef once in the month, I hope it helps! Help is what they need, because everybody deserves a good life! Love and Peace -Nanna<3.
i donated yesterday and now my bank is calling wondering why I have a transaction in euros. lol, but it's done and i'm happy to give a little when i can. i'm in the US too.
oh bloody hell now it is just processing and processing so I refreshed it and didn't know if it went through or not until my bank's fraud dept. called me up...yep it did.......do you people realize that some members here are in the U.S.? You could give 2 links you know........
ok, I give up......why is this in UK currency? I'm in the U.S. dorks........ I click to donate and it's euro money.........exactly what is 100 bucks in euros?
Ahem! Please find peace. I seem to recall our friend requesting no bickering on here. Please do not judge. We are all on this planet together. Please understand some are finding it really tough at the moment to make their own ends meet, and this does make them feel awful, and less considerate to others. I respect everyone's opinion as it is their own. Let us make up for any shortfall of humanity by injecting more love into this dark world. Those lucky enough to be able to afford to donate and believe in this cause please do so of your own free will. If you can't or don't want then simply don't. Big warm fuzzies to all! Love and light, your friend. xx
Give what you can even a cent is welcome! No matter what people say, we all know here you've always helped poor kids, you're a UNICEF ambassador, a big-hearted man! Let us them talk. I admire you for all you've done so far to help those in need have a better life. Donation sent with love. I run a humanitarian association on my own, I'm planning a gig to get some money to build a school in north africa, it'll be a blast if you'd come to perform Angels or you solo single to come. Would it be possible? Let you know ;) Thanks for them. Love Always xxx
I agree with @TraceyH, @TanyaD AND @AmandaB, I spent all day yesterday 'running the gauntlet' with this post on Facebook. Have never read so many ignorant, ill informed, uneducated, prejudiced comments on a post in my life. Thankfully they seem to have ceased today. Between the four of us maybe we made others rethink?!?! Even if 1 of those 'naysayers' had a change of heart I'd be more than happy Deb :o)
Donation sent :)…Right now I’m also writing my Bachelor thesis about the development of stable food prices in Kenya for a project which is working down there. Of course it will not change the world but at least it’s a small step and many small steps together can make a difference. It’s the same with donations.
I think from Italy I can not donate but from 2 years on, I give Unicef 10€ each month. Unicef takes money directly from my bank account, it's easy and not too heavy for my family budget as it is a small amount each month. My older son (5 1/2) knows about Unicef and he knows that there are many children without water, food, love so he always eat his meal, he tries not to waste water, he tries not to ask too much for toys etc.. I think it is important to explain our children that they are lucky and the World is full of different situations from theirs.
@scrummy mummy Agree with you too! :-) Wish I had a way with words like that. Very nicely said. X
Scrummy Mummy agree regarding Facebook. What an awful place it can be. I don't want to be part of any of that.
I have found a photo yours, nude, of back with Giselle Bundchen. I and my friends thank to you!
Donation sent Mr. Williams. :o) To those narrow minded people leaving negative comments - please stop and ask yourself these questions: Do you have a roof over your head? Food on the table? Clean water to drink? Toilet facilities? Friends and/or Family that we can turn to in time of need? and for those of us fortunate to live in the UK - we have the NHS, which a FREE health service provided to us - aren't we lucky? We are all guilty of taking these things for granted, but when you're tucking yourself up in your warm bed Tonight - spare a thought for the person that hasn't got these minor luxuries. - Suzy xo
I'm not going to be your friend on Facebook anymore.... I've happily put my face and my name to genuinely try to encourage those of us fortunate enough to wake up tomorrow with little to worry about to tr and give a little something.... Am fully behind the sleepover deal and have posted my views on this ad infinitum.... Have read some really narrow minded stuff on FB tonight..... I feel nothing in common with those so called friends.... My baby went to sleep tonight in a clean warm bed, dreaming of the tooth fairy and wanting for nothing..... I thank my and her lucky stars on a daily basis that we have choices..... Even the poorest kids in our society (did you watch Poor Kids on The BBC?) do not slip through the net.... Social services for all their faults do an incredible job of parenting and assisting those who cannot do so... Support networks are available....those on FB who glibly talk of "foreigners" and "contraception" from the anonymity of their "logins" should be thanking their lucky stars tonight.... Even the poorest kids in our society live in a world full of opportunity.... They might live in a crappy house in a crappy area , but it doesn't follow that their lives have to remain stuck in a shitty world..... In our actually very privileged world, support mechanisms are always there..... No child in this country cannot gain access to clean running water. To basic nutrition and food. 2million children..... That's a figure not far off every kid in primary education in the UK today..... If 2 million kids in this country were dying of starvation there would be outrage..... I can't just sit back and say, whatever.... The kids in Africa have no choice and I think I am going to have to just be a "friend" here instead....
