Sexed Up Video Shoot
The music video for Sexed Up was filmed at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles in September 2003.
It starred American actress and model James King (along with a cast of small animals and reptiles) and was directed by Jonas Akerlund, who also worked on Robbie's Come Undone video plus was the man behind the videos for Madonna's Ray Of Light, Christina Aguilera's Beautiful and Lady Gaga's Paparazzi and Telephone… wow!
Akerlund's video artistry perfectly captured the haunting mood of Robbie's dark and melancholy ballad, with the song written about one of his ex-girlfriends. Robbie later said that he "never felt as harsh as those lyrics came out… I just found myself tripping over each lyric until it became that song, which is pretty vitriolic for a song that is so heartbreaking."
