Interview: Take That - Friends Reunited
UK newspaper, The Guardian, caught up with Robbie and the boys last week whilst they were en route to the Q Awards, where they were inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
In this very honest interview they talk about the filming of the recording of their album Progress;
'Barlow arranged for a TV crew to document the recording of Progress, inspired by the Beatles' Anthology', how Robbie came to be a part of Take That again; 'They can't seem to decide whether Williams was asked to rejoin Take That five years ago. Barlow says he wasn't; Orange says he personally asked him, but Williams refused', and the mixed opinions of the reunion from the public; 'But not every fan is delighted. "We were outside somewhere the other day," Williams says, "signing autographs, and this girl came up to us and said, 'I'm not here for Gary. I'm only here for you.' " "I went to sign," Barlow nods, "and she went, 'I don't want your autograph, I only want Robbie.' "Williams shakes his head. "I thought, 'Eh? What do you want me to do? High-five you?' "

Great article offering interesting insights. The honesty of everyone is what I love. The other 4 could have easily tiptoed around Rob's stardom and, dare I say his unpredictability, which would've been so disastrous. With honesty you get integrity and that, more than record sales or concert ticket records, will be the greatest success for these 5 men. Congratulations on the maturity guys and may the reunion of your friendship go beyond band performances and be long lasting. The Flood is a wonderful song, with an a fabulous video, and I look forward to purchasing my first Take That album. As for you my gorgeous Robbie, you just get phenomenally better with age. If I was so lucky of having tickets for a TT show ......I only would watch Robbie......years without seeing him I wouldn´t spend my time watching the rest of the band.(I´m saying "spend" not "wasting") maybe the fan at the authographs felt the same---☺☺☺☺☺-----

To be honest I don't mind if Robbie stays with Take That - if its what he and they want, who are we to disagree. In fact Rob has seemed so happy through this year so that must count for something...(His marriage, reunion, its all happening). Well done Rob and the boys. x
I read the full article...quite long and a bit boring it could have been more concise----However we fans we won´t ever know what actually is behind this rejoinment---- I read that none of 4 Take That members couldn´t achieve a solo career.....only Robbie could....and such a career .So my wish is that the 4 boys stay with their band altogether and Robbie goes on as a solist......every body successful and happy with their respective jobs and doing the best :ones in the band and solo the other- The fan was probably a bit shocking...but "CHACUN A SON GOUT"
