Hey Friendlies, there are a lot of people who are not going to Soccer Aid this year and thus I want to set up something apart from that event. The thing is, that I worked as a legal assistant and I know that copyright infringements can be easily done. I really, really don't want to extract any advantages or something like that out of it. I just and simply want to know if Rob's agreeing to it. It's not a simple fan meeting, like with 20 people. It should be something bigger and maybe a fixture that happens every year. And if I'm able to manage it with the help of my friends, I want to publicise it and include special things like charity events. That's why I want to know if it's ok to do it. I told a lot of people at the poker tables about it yesterday evening and they all were enthusiastic and looking forward. But thanks for all the advices and a big thank to maminou for letting him know ♥

I can vouch for the pleasure in meeting face to face with ladies that I "talk" to every day on line at RWAP and TRWS. It's lovely to meet in person. We're going to the match together and for dinner the night before. It makes for a lovely weekend and like Chrissie said - it's been going on for years in many countries where ever Robbie's popular. :-)

Girls, I don't know if this will help, but as far as I know, groups of people who only know each other through their shared love of all things Robbie have been organising and attending meet-ups large and small for the past 20 years without getting into trouble. . As far as I am aware, the term 'friendlie' has not been drafted into official RW legalese either. . I reckon that as long as you stay away from any implication that this is in any way official - and maybe sticking to Facebook and organising this away from the official site would help on that score - you'll be perfectly fine. Just like the hundreds of people who have held fan meet ups in the last two decades have been :) . By the way - don't forget that there's already a huge meet up already planned for the end of May. I hear it's proving to be quite popular already ;)

He doesn't even have to care for it personally. I would never ask for such a favour. I don't want him to save the world or get into contact with me. Don't spoil it please. It's something a lot of people looking forward to :)
Rob isnt Superman, i think hes doing enough this year, dont you? With the family commitments and all hes doing for Unicef.. Remember, hes only human and cant do everything to save the world and all its woes... he does what he can, and bless him, its more than enough!! I think perspective is needed here... and understanding.

Hey Rob :) I don't know if this is the right place to tell you about my request. But I don't know any other way to get in contact with you. As you know, you've made it possible for us Friendlies to have a place where we can meet and have fun together. The poker tables ;) Scosha had the idea to found a Friendlies Funpoker group on Facebook and those who mostly play together are in there. We're 103 members so far and we all love being part of it. I had the idea of organising a real Friendlies meeting in the nearer future. And most of us are really interested in getting to know each other personally. During some deliberations and exchange of ideas, we figured out that it would be very nice to set up something bigger than just a small meeting. Something like a convention that maybe happens every year. I'd love to name it 'Friendlie Palooza' (BIG thank to Krista). The problem is that I have absolutely no idea if I have to consider several things. Like naming rights (mean your name) and organising something official without getting on the wrong side of you. I never dealt with such stuff and I guess it'll cost a lot of effort. But I would like to do it. We also would love to involve you. Not appearing personally (well, it would be ace if you could make it possible) but giving you the opportunity to watch some pics or videos afterwards. We all know that you're dealing with a lot of stuff atm. Album release, baby on the way aso.. But if you could spare some minutes to think about it or maybe ask your management about the conditions or/and chances to let that happen, we all would be very happy. A lot of Friendlies offered me their help with this one and I guess it'll be a chance for us to create something big. If you're interested, just let us know maybe via a new blog or smth like that. If your management wants to get into contact with us, I'm willing to create some sort of Official Friendlie HomePage (well, my hubby will do it ;) ) and an Official email address. I contemplated London as a possible venue, but I have to figure some stuff out before we're making a decision. Take yourself all the time you need to think about it.
