Robbie Re-Joins Take That
After a 15-year wait and months of eager anticipation we can confirm that the rumours are indeed true: Robbie and Take That are back together and releasing an all-new album.
Following the reunion of all reunions in New York last September, Robbie, Gary, Howard, Jason and Mark have secretly recorded a full studio album with producer Stuart Price, which will be released later this year.
"I get embarrassingly excited when the five of us are in a room," said Robbie, who also duets with Gary Barlow on new solo single, Shame. "It feels like coming home."
Bandmate Mark Owen added, "Getting the five of us to be in a room together, although always a dream, never actually seemed like becoming a reality. Now the reality of the five of us making a record together feels like a dream. It’s been an absolute delight spending time with Rob again. But I’m still a better footballer."
And what does Jason Orange think about Robbie's re-joining the boys? "Flippin’ brilliant, absolutely brilliant," he said. "I’m over the moon that Robbie’s back with us, however long it lasts. I just want to enjoy our time with him. Life is beautifully strange sometimes."
Between them, the five-piece have have sold 80 million albums, performed to over 14.5 million people live, won 19 BRIT Awards, had 13 number one albums, 17 number one singles, eight MTV awards and five Ivor Novello awards!
Take That's forthcoming album, which is currently untitled, will be released in November 2010, a massive twenty years since the band first performed live together in 1990. Wow!

I totally agree with Laurenttina !!!!!! This is not the end of Robbie on his own so chill and enjoy him with TT.
Robbie I will always prefer your solo work but I happy for you and the boys that you can do this last tour and album as a final chapter. I do not know why so many people are getting upset . I look forward to hearing your work with TT and I hope you will feel better on stage having them around you. I hope you have as much fun doing it as we will watching you as I know this is not always the case xxxxxx
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......ROB YOU NOT TO THE NEED OF THESE FOUR OLD MEN....PLEASE I HOPE THAT YOU RETURN WITH A GREAT ALBUM (LIKE THESE 11 ALBUM) AND A FANASTIC TOUR (LIKE ALL)
i am verying happy for Robbie, it must be a weight of his shoulder knowing he has sorted things out with take that, it eats u up inside when you fall out with people, hes shown that he does want to change, he must be very happy to do this otherwise he would not of done it, so i wish him all the best. As long as hes happy that is all that matters. Looking forward to the tour. xx
nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As Robbie’s fans we are kind of entitled to an opinion, but, come on! Give it a rest! Do you really think that Robbie needs our “permission” for every step he takes in his career? HE IS AN ARTIST! ART IS SYNONYM WITH FREEDOM!!! So, could you stop criticizing for a second and trust Rob??? Whatever his reasons are to re-join TT, if you really are his fans, you should respect his judgment and show some support, for God’s sake!!! (And the fact that he is with TT now doesn’t mean he has left his solo career behind; that is ludicrous! so, people: chill!!!)
Finalmente!!!!!! :))))
As a TT fan from the very beginning but always a Robbie fan, it's very weird seeing that! Good weird though!
'sigh' hhhmmm I dont know why so many people are wingin' the lads seem obviously happy about it & so do you, so why cant everyone be happy for you guys too? Dont get me wrong Take That are good, but im more of a fan of your solo career Rob & its goin to be a little strange for us fans because of you sharin'the limelight again but its no big deal & all this bull***t about it being more for your gain is complete rubbish, you're a multi millionaire & have been more successful worldwide than the other guys have been. And personally since Take That refomed for me its never been propper Take That because you werent there, you were there when the group formed & practically up until they split in 96 & Im not meaning any offence to anyone but for me Take That have lacked the edge since they reformed that you gave & could give them. And to all those Rob fans worrying out there, Its not the end of the world because you will continue to be a successful solo artist after this little project however long it lasts, either that or have a solo career that runs side by side with the group like Ronan Keating has done & so did Michael Jackson & at least it shows you guys have all grown up now & matured which is what alot of these so called wingin' fans should do also!!
GUTTED! But secretly a little excited too.. Good Luck with the boys x
Dear Robbie, even if you're back with Take That I could never forget what you've done individually, it's impossible for me to forget your best moments. And also, for me you'll be the most talented of the five of you. Because your greatest hits will stay there for all the time, who could forget Angels, Millenium, She's the one, theres a long list. Wherever you stay, remember, for me you're the best. Best wishes NickyRW
Dear Robbie, It will never be the same no more. Thank you for being Robbie when I saw you in Milan, thank you for being Robbie when I saw you in Amsterdam, thank you for being Robbie when I saw you in Milton Keynes..... Now your back in Take That and I don't see Robbie anymore. I understand the reason why....but my dear Robbie, take good care of who you want to be in the future. I will wait for the next Robbie concert.......XXX
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the middle of this storm I forgot saying THANK YOU for the hapiness you gave me these last years through your songs ,your humour or just for your sweet face.Thank you also for all what I have learnt because of you: a lot of English by listening your songs and interviews;I learnt to paint with the computer making pictures for you ,I learnt to make the little videos for your songs ,for having my little youtube channel dedicated to you and even for my facebook which is for your photocollages and my paintings which are also yours since I paint while listening you and it would be very difficult for me to paint without your voice..----------------------I´m so proud and happy for all the hours I dedicated to you ...listening ,watching or working hard in the pictures.I did it with love and passion and it did a lot good for me--THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THIS----You Robbie won´t read this and if you do it won´t mean nothing to you but ...it means lots to me-I hope this isn´t a farewell although it sound like it--------All my love for you-For always Robbie- I beg your pardon again if I sounded ungrateful or selfish in the previous comments-
ROB I'm soooooooooooo happy about this news!!!that was always my dream since i became a TT fan('96)-what a great 30th bday gift getting the album!!!Thank you guys! and just wanna say i know some fans opinion about joining to the guys again not really positive-well just think back Knebworth-when you were singing the Take That songs and the 3d day when Mark sung Back for good with you-everyone went made and loads of us were crying-Never forget that day!oh and the last year's children in need when you appeared together on stage(and yeah we thought now it's the time for the reunion.and do not mention the Take That concerts how many times many of us were thinking you might appear on stage:) So do not worry Rob just do it as you planned.many many of us are with you!it's going to be amazing!!!!!!LOVE,JUDIT XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
if you wanna re-join TT ok, it's your decission and i'm not gonna let off being your fan, but i've got a doubt.....now, if you do a tour, you're gonna do it with or without TT? i mean.....now if i see you in a concert, you're gonna be alone? and if you're with TT, you're gonna sing your songs? cause sice you left TT you had created your own songs, and now, you're gonna forgot them? i just wanna say that i'm happy you're back with your old friends....but i just wanna see you singing your songs in a concert.... ;-)
There is so much hate in the world already. And so much selfishness. Make love, not war.
First of all I would like to say something: In my opinion the real fans aren't the ones that say that everything that you do is "amazing", "fabulous", bla, bla, bla In my opinion the real fans are the ones that support you in the good and the bad moments even if they don't agree with your decisions. Because one of the most important things that you taugh me was to be honest! We can't grow with lies, we have to face the truth no matter if its good or bad, we have to face it!! Well I don't know what to think about TT. At first I was a little sad, because I rememberd the "No Regrets" song, and I rememberd your pain and fears. But now, I think that you are happy with your band mates, and if you are happy, I'm happy. I just want to see you enjoying your life. I'm here to support you no matter what and if this is what you want, what can I say? Love Mar
well I think it is ridicules to fight about all this we havent even heard them sing yet. im looking forward to hear you and your band mates againg Robbie:D xxx
Who'd have fans?? Although it's passion that drives us and shows we are in fact human it'd be great if we could remember the humanity of our idols also. I would like to congratulate Robbie for taking another giant step in his maturity in coming together with these friends from his past and his desire to continue to create a future. BRAVO, that there could be more of such measures in this spiteful world. I haven't been a TT fan, coming to Rob's music from Escapology, but I am looking forward to this venture. Anyone who really listens to Rob, both lyrically and in interviews, knows his pain and anguish from these formative years of his. These lads were so very young and everyone of them would love to have done it differently if they had the life skills they have today. Rob, I'm sure, would hope to be calmer and the others would love to have had the skills and understanding to help him achieve this. They were just babies thrust into something unimaginable by those of us sitting behind a computer in the safety of our homes .How could they help each other when they could hardly help themselves. This venture should be seen by us all as the catharsis that it is for each and every one of them. Once again my lovely Robbie you have inspired me. BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO. Robbie's music is a continued and evolving journey, one I am proud to travel with him. From TT to the youthful pop exuberance of his early solo work to the adventure of Escapology right through the experiments of truly crafting sounds that define him as with Rudebox and of course the maturity and confidence we see today with "Reality...". His music evolves as the man evolves and we get to be a part of that. AWESOME! This venture is a truly positive one and I hope it's been all he's ever dreamed of and wish all the lads the very best. Rob you ROCK!!!!!! Lots of love Susan Adelaide xoxoxox

totally agree with you, sassyscouselass! those people are crazy!!!
can't wait for the new stuff... this is going to be the perfect year!!
Some of these comments are madness x I LOVE Robbie but I also LOVE Take That x Its a great thing they are reuniting and some of you Robbie fans saying they hate Take That, I dont understand it. Just in the same way I dont understand Take That fans 'hating' Robbie. Come on people our lads are back together again, happy. Lets get behind this decision and big it up for Take That, the original line up, how its meant to be. WOOHOOOOOOOOO LOVE YOU ROBBIE, GO FOR IT BABE!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Good luck Robbie I think it's great that you have got back with the boys and can't wait to see you perform together. xxx
In response to La Petite Fleur: Absolutely! No point in adding to your comment, tbh - you have said it all ( no pun intended :-)
Love Rob. Love Take That. Followed their story, bought the records and been to the gigs. Thrilled to bits for all of them. This new album will be something special.
If you think most Robbie fans don't like Take That you are mistaken. I;m a huge solo Robbie fan. I did 4 nights at Milton Keynes and 2 at Knebworth. I have always loved both, and I'm not alone. I'm sorry that some feel sad about this, but GIVE IT A CHANCE!!! It could be fabulous. And BTW he changed the end of No Regrets to Officially alive at the Roundhouse last October (I was there too)
oh! my goood!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can`t believe!!! please coming BUENOS AIRES-ARGENTINA!!! please please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot help but say more sorry its just im passionate about the stuff in my life and that includes music. I dont know what moving back to take that is going to achieve most robbie fans dont like take that and take that fans dont like robbie so wouldnt moving back to the group make less fans overall. So you give us 15 years of solo career which you achieve life time award for and you go back to a band that achieved you nothing but heartache at the time which made you leave!! I dont understand robbie you told us you would never leave us and that you were happy and in the song no regrets what do you say at the end of it about take that can we just repeat that.
