Robbie's New Album Set For Release By Universal Music
If you've been tuning in to Robbie's blogs you'll already know that he has been busy in the studio recording his new album in his Los Angeles studio.
Today, we're extremely excited to announce that the album is set to be released next year by Universal Music following a deal struck between the world’s leading record company and the most successful British male solo artist ever.
The new studio album, Robbie’s first since Reality Killed The Video Star in 2009 and his latest creative venture following his phenomenally successful reunion with Take That, is likely to be the most hotly-anticipated new release of 2012. It will be issued worldwide by Universal Music next Autumn.
“I'm really thrilled to be joining the Universal family at what I think is the most exciting time in my career," said Robbie.

I dreamt a few weeks ago that there was going to an announcement on 21 October. I mentioned it to my friends as was so excited when I woke up and was wondering what this announcement would be... then lo and behold the news on 21 October is... you've signed to Universal and your album is due to be released next year!! Just want to say huge congratulations to you but don't know how I'm gonna be able to wait until next Autumn for the new album!! Any chance you fancy testing out a few of the songs on us for feedback in the meantime eh?? ;-) I also hope my other "feeling" that Ayda is expecting right now comes true too... Hi, our friend, seems a long time to wait for the new album but kow it will be as fantastic as ever - there are always at least three tracks that keep me transfix for the first few days of playing- everything sung with such meaning. Finally, a personal album! we expect that long! I'm sure it's also the view of other fans here! Take That's fine, but Robbie is better! I much prefer the music and prose of Robbie, his world deeper! Unfortunately, I find the music take that too "commercial"! this is just a personal opinion!

@Boslund...great having another American chatting on Rob's Website. I'm from L.A. and I AGREE...hearing Rob's songs would definitely be an improvement to our music scene which is truly lacking. Americans can't even imagine what they're missing not knowing Robbie Williams! A cryin' shame! ~ Funny...when I first started listening to The Man...about 18 months ago...I walked into a grocery store and the overhead music was playing "YOU KNOW ME". Then I was at a Sizzler Restaurant (I know, not the most glamorous of places) and "MILLENIUM" came on overhead. Another time, in a different grocery store, I heard another artist singing "ANGELS". This was so synchronistic since I heard all of them within just the first 6 months of discovering Rob. Haven't heard any since then.....boo,hoo!
Sounds all fantastic. The only bad thing is, that it still takes nearly a whole year until we will hear it :D. Already now extremely excited about it. Thanks Rob.
