wayneyman's picture

1st witnessed Robbie on the 3rd night of Knebworth. took 8 ladies there from Wakefield, got a ticket and got paid for going.. gig was unbelievable, beyond imaginable excellence,,. this show is etched in the memory forever.. i can almost still feel the heat of the flames that burst from the top of the stage..

have seen Robbie three times no, Knebworth, Milton Keynes and Manchester, have to say Milton Keynes was the best, only because i was soooo close to him. His talent to entertain just gets better and his music is awesome.......

Friday 24/06/11 Hampden Park Glasgow i start my story by Sitting outside the Scotland National Stadium 7 Hours before the gates are due to open ........ why? because Robbie and Take That are in my home town and i want to come down and give the girls who camped out overnight some choc, newspapers and crisps and then take my place in the line. I find a turnstyle that looks Lucky yip 58 sounds as good as any other and i like the look of the family who have taken up residency at gate number 58+59. Nice girls, proper giggle. Robbie t shirts on. age range 66 - teenage. Perfect. Within the hour they have adopted me, "come and join our family" they say... sooooo i do. I set up my flag and get comfy . Midday comes and my little 8 year old daughter is brought down by her granny. shes here to lift the spirits of the waiting crowd as its started to rain. She slips on my Robbie mark and performs The Flood , Love Love and takes a bow with a angel halo on her head. She has loved every min of it and the fans are all cheering and singing along with her, time for her to leave us to it. Time is passing quicky as we are in good form. The Ladies loo's are near us and we have plenty to talk about. Where are you heading when you get in is it the big question? Main stage .....mini stage ..... walk way .. Bar? Stewards walk over and tell us the news that for the last 2 nights our turnstyles have opened last. Meaning that the girls camping out at the other gates will get in first. Hampden gates are opened by a person and are not electronic. i decide that if thats what happens today i will try and get near Robbie singing Feel. Sometimes front row isnt always the best row we all decide. Stewards approach us again "ladies pack up your tents, seats, lie lows, finish off your pic-nics and your drinks we will be unlocking the turnstyles in 15 mins and we will have a security brief. Wooohoooo. Male steward shouts at us " make single lines , do not push, open your bags ready for inspection, have your ticket in your hands. When we open this gate you will not run, push or act in any other way that will harm another. You will walk to the stairs and then be escorted by stewards down them. Every stairwell will decend at the same time. You will find a human barrier of stewards these people will walk you in a circle across the pitch to the stage. if you run you will be removed. DONT NOT BREAK THE LINE. A Female steward shows off her bandaged hand saying she had to take a girl down last night . best not mess with her then Eh. Finish your last smoke because if you smoke in the stadium we will remove you. 7 hours without a smoke........... i'll do it for you Rob! The Place is buzzing .......... starting to feel sick.....nerves excitement you name it. Gate opens Throw my ticket stub in the direction of the collector and make my way to the stairs, Yep Human Barrier right enough........ but a shout comes out from a man behind me "look he says the other stairs are empty!"....... the other gates got in first just as predicted.... they must be on the pitch. Bloods pumping.... sheer adrenaline now and the Human barrier never had a chance 200 Robbie starved scottish fans ....... men woman grandparents alike Brought that barrier down together .WE ARE OFF the line has broken there no choice now its do what your told and miss out or live by the seat of your pants time............Running like giddy school kids on sports day..the price is not a medal its a life time memory..... The stage is in sight. What a magnificant sight it is. OH MY GOD. its empty the other gate has not even opened yet. How lucky is that ! im running with all my might as i grab an empty piece of barrier and turn to look for my cousin ...here she comes .We tie our ROBBIE flag to the barrier cause Hampden baby we are here and we are front row on the walk way ! YYYYeeeeeHaaaaaaaa ! We look around to see if any of our new friends have got where they wanted to ....... happy waves and shouts confirm to us all is well. WE DONE IT. Take a look around ........ we can see the main stage but if anyone wants to get on to the mini stage they have to pass us sooooooo RESULT ! Pet shop boys have Glasgow Rocking ........ Colin and Justin are in the vip box and we are waving at them waving at us. Its Electric the atmosphere if we could bottle it we would see the national grid light up. The Show is amazing. Mark Owen is the first to pass us and he stops to read the flag, gives a thumbs up to it and compliments my cousins bunny ears. smiles all round then. The night passes in the blink of an eye it was Wonderfull, Music was fantastic, robbies entrance was STUNNING. He tore hampden to pieces. Had everyone eating out of the palm of his hand and then offered himself to us ! The time has come .......here come the boys to wave good night says Gary. Girls near me say Your on the wrong side if you want to wave at Robbie we were here last night and he goes down the other side. Nooooo. I put my phone back in my pocket and clap my hands cause Gary is walking down with mark ........ Good show i shout....... thank you... i cheer. From nowhere Rob steps out from behind the Broken down Om ............. Glasgow really took it out the Big Yin OM he refused to work tonight. So just like the girls said I am at the wrong said to get a wave from Rob. Tut. What happens next is just as unbeleivable to you reading this as it was for me being there. Rob turns and looks at us , My heart stops he's across the walkway facing us and he is reading my flag. SCOTLAND LOVES ROBBIE he proudly reads and his face lights up. I offer the flag to him he shakes his head and gives a little smirk of a smile and points at me and says YOU ! wwwwwwwaaaaaaaaahhhhhh ! im Jelly. Mr Robbie Williams is coming over to us. He appears to be in slow motion i apparently take on the appearance of a stunned Rabbit. ( My moment was on the big screen and 49,634 people saw me. Had calls and texts all weekend ) He opens his arms to me and says Come 'er........ everyone around me is frantic but im staying still arms outstreched waiting for him hoping its not someone behind me he's been pointing at. im whispering PLEASE .... PLEASE .....PLEASEEEE you cant blame me can you? 1993 glasgow till now never missed a Show and i never met him before ! He IS HERE , I am with him. he takes his arm and puts it around me, im looking right at his face and his cheek is coming towards me. OH MY GOD his lips are going to my cheek. i feel the whisper of a kiss on my cheek and i gleefully take the chance to kiss him back. he takes my hand now and is looking into my eyes, i want to speak to him what i hav'nt told you all is that i was at the show the night before 3 rows from the very highest point of hampden and i screamed and sang my heart out........ the noise that may come out of my mouth might resemble billy connolly's voice its so hoarse. But this is my moment my chance to let him know what a joy it is to be in the world at the same time as him. to be growing up with him. That his music got me through my labour. i look right into his eyes and his laser beam green eyes are staring right back into my less stunning green eyes and say I LOVE YOU....... i say it like its my wedding day, teary eyed whole hearted declared my love . I feel ten feet tall he is still here holding me. He gives my hand a squeeze and he says................................................. " I KNOW ". Blown away by this......... if only i could go back and tell the little girl who looked up at her walls covered in Robbie posters wishing that Robbie Knew what he ment to her that one day he would actually tell her. i know. He heads to the stage to sing the last line of the show. The Whole standing area im in descends on me screaming. but i am gone. Pamela doesnt live here anymore.......... im now the girl who kissed Robbie williams at hampden park Baby !

Ive seen Rob twice. The first time was in Birmingham in 2000. I took my 13 year old daughter with me who is also a massive Rob/Take that fan. We often talk about it even now. It was an amazing night. Only problem was I bought two films for my camera (no digital cam at that point) and i snapped away all evening. Got them developed the next day and all I got was blackness with this 'blue' thing on stage (the blue was Robs top, lol) I think my camera was crap, lol. I* have seen Rob since then though. I was at live 8 and I think Rob stole the show, even if he did try to do a sing a long and not everyone joined in. haha. That was so funny, Rob even laughed himself.. Unfortunately cant go to the Take That tour this year due to finances, but hope they do another tour soon and I will sell my soul if I have to to get a ticket for that one.

My best Robbie moment was Knebworth 2003 the only time that I have been able to see you. I will always remember it because I had a major fear of crowds and I went with the best friend in the world (Karen) she was very patient with me I was sick 4 times and kept saying I CAN'T DO THIS she said remember how much Robbie Williams means to you and the connection that you feel!!!! I made it in the end and conquered my fear of crowds and Robbie you were truly amazing and will always be you have fought demons and so have I and feel that Knebworth changed me in a big way. I have not been able to get take that tickets despite trying and trying!!!! I am glad that you are soo happy you deserve it!!!! good luck will be thinking of you :)xxxx

It all started in 1999 when i saw Robbie at Exeter Westpoint, funniest memory from that was when he came on stage on a kinda remote controlled toilet for one of the songs! The best concert for me was taking my Robbie mad 6 year old daughter who has special needs to Leeds Roundhay, where she stood on her special buggy at the front railings in gold circle and got given his set list off the stage at the end, and of course Knebworth was a blast, and Cardiff here we come again!!!! You cant beat a bit of Robbie Williams LIVE even if it is with Take That, life is just too short!!!

Ive seen Robbie numerous times over the years and the best concert ive seen was Murrayfield in 2003, we managed to get right to the front and it was well worth queing all day, the atmosphere was amazing, however I must say I went to see Take That on the 30th May at Sunderland and for me he made the show he seems back on top form and enjoying every minute. I personally prefer him as a solo artist but as long as being back with Take That makes him happy thats good enough for me!!

I saw Rob live in cologne for a private gig for 600 ppl only.. before he cames on stage I met him on a meet & greet. He took my hand to say hello and held my hand for a while and said: "u have cold hands, very cold hands, why?" I wanted to say something that he held my hand for longer in his hands.........but all I said was : "Now I´m hot!".......oh, what a shame...how stupid was this to say.....but he laughs about . later we talked about some things and i dont forget to tell him many lovely greetings from the german forum.......final he signed my book "feel" and made a pics from the winner of the meet and greet with him.........I stoud infront of him and leaning a bit of him......Never forget this and his magic green eyes.......After he shows us a unforgettable performance on stage !!!!!!!!! THATS MY MAGICAL LIVE MOMENT WITH ROB XXXX

hahaha mine is sorta of magic but no, it's more sad than magic!. I was working by the last time Rob came to Chile, and we had the launch of our first product at my job (i was the press editor so I had plenty of work). When the concert was announced, i hadn't any money because it was by the end of the month, so i said "ok, let's wait to my next payment and i'll get that ticket, I cannot miss Rob this time! and now I can affor the VIP ticket!" (that, by the way, was so freaking expensive, like 350 USD more or less) We were too busy with that launching, working 24/7 and stuff... and when I finally got some rest, i woke up late in the evening, turned on the tv and there was this girl of the tv who speaks about celebs and stuff telling that the concert was amazing. I COMPLETELY FORGOT THE CONCERT DUE TO WORK!.... and then, he never came back to Chile... (and i doubt i could afford a ticket now since i'm not working anymore and studying again...) well, one day, one day... Oh and I was trying to save money to go to Sunderland this year to see Take That... but i just could save a 30% of the money I needed, and... well, may 30th is my birthday =(... but I promise, one day, one day ._.
