Soccer Aid 2012 Sets A New Fundraising Record!
Back in May the fourth bi-annual Soccer Aid match was played at Old Trafford and we are now thrilled to announce that the event raised over £4.9 million for children's charity UNICEF. Soccer Aid was co-founded by Robbie to raise funds for the world's most vulnerable children and the figure smashed all previous records set by the event.
Robbie, a UNICEF UK ambassador, was naturally delighted with the result:
"I'm still basking in the glory of England's win and so pleased that this has been the best Soccer Aid yet with almost £5 million raised for UNICEF – for children. Thank you so so much to everyone who donated on the night or bought a ticket to the match - we couldn't have done it without you."
The money raised by this year's event brings the Soccer Aid total to over £12 million and will be spent helping to save children's lives by providing food, vaccines and other critical supplies.
Thank you and congratulations to everyone who donated - it couldn't have been reached without you!

Massive well done to you, jonny and everyone else who gave up there time to be part of socceraid - I think soccer aid should become an annual event and not every 2 years - im sure this sort of money would be raised every year!! We had a brilliant day out all for a brilliant cause - mine was made even better when Olly came and gave me his shirt and a cheeky kiss - made my life haha!!! Keep up the good work Rob and ignore all the haters - you cant please everyone!!! xxx
Oh by the way, @ all the poker buddies, you know I was thinking....wouldn't be lovely if we could find a way and do a little "charity tourney" thing sometime? No idea how, but it would be sooo cool! .....Perhaps sth could be organised with a small buy-in so that every1 can afford it! Imagine what 1 pound would turn into if there are let's say, 200 players? Here you go, 200 pounds, for Unicef, or Treetops or any of the peeps Robs supports! ...Anyways, just an idea! ~ "WinSome" Xxxx
Congrats to Rob & Johny & every1 else involved! Pleased & proud to have been a part of this & as everybody else has mentioned, ready to do it again & again, hopefully with a ticket to the match next time! x STS ("WinSome")
Roberto I want to let you know that since I've got my english bulldog Romeo he gives me so much joy and much more in my life......that no other person has given me yet.....I wish some other human would be like him.....for example my heads.....and many other people.....Romeo teaches me so much, I can learn so much from him......and in return I give him the best I can, movement, discipline and affection, exactly in this order.....I hope he's satisfied with me as his leader pack..... I had to write you....I've had some problems with a female supervisor on work today ( I currently work at the airport in Cologne at the air berlin check-in counter) and I try to stay calm, because since Romeo I'm much better in this(you know I'm italian :-) ) but I must say my opinion when I know that I'm right.....You can not please everyone, can you? My confident persons that really know me, know who I' am, how I'am and what I'am and that's important for me! And one thing I know for certain, that the good people will get their prices one day and the bad ones their punishment. I believe so much in god and I trust him that he sees all what is going on...... I'm not afraid of anybody no longer.....sometimes I can be a rebel! :-) I'm crazy like you my dear :-))))) But I want to be honest with you , I nevertheless still have fears!!! Normally I shouldn't have to take my antidepressants medicine daily, cause you and my dog Romeo are my medicine!!! but unfortunately I still have to, says my doctor......until I'll find my stability one day:-( And very important for me whenever you feel tired, sick or simply not good.....take a break and stop working till you feel better.Relax then, try to eat healthy food, drink a lot of water, go out for a walk with your dogs, continue to do sport but please do not exaggerate. Sometimes it sounds like I'm your mum :-)....please do me this favor.... cause people that love you will understand......thank you! P.S I will have my third meaningful tattoo on saturday, it's gonna be a delicate religious one this time.....I'm looking forward .....I love your tattoos by the way, they suit you very good....it looks very male! with love Tatiana
It illustrates, when many people come together & contribute just a little bit, what can be done! Of course, congratulations to you, Rob & Jonny, for coming up with the brilliant idea & everyone else who helped make it happen. Now I'm going to enjoy all the exciting times (<* that are coming up, between now & The Next Great Soccer Aid! -- Bliss, I love your avitar.
Thanks to everyone who has supported Soccer Aid! xxx
Absolute fantastic news! Well done! xx
This blog is celebrating Robbie's charity work. It SHOULD NOT be used to moan about the gig tickets. You asked for small gigs, you got them. The ballot was conducted fairly, not everyone could attend. That happens when you have a small gig. Get over it.
Sooo Pleased with the amount raised ! As me and my family was there live watchin the game - loved it ! Also happy that I gave money to Unicef and helped in some way :) LOVE SOCCER AID Love Your Friend Laura xx

After proving how utterly brilliant everybody is at coming together for charity we are thrilled to announce the launch of the RFWU Baby Shower For Treetops. To find out more, check out the RWFU thread in the Robbie Chat section of the forum, or search for RWFU For Treetops on Facebook. We want to turn the Internet pink ready for Miss Williams' arrival and raise a shed load (technical term!) of money for everybody's favourite children's hospice . We very much hope to see you at the party!

Fabulous !!! Well done. I'm proud and glad to have had a little part in it. It also have been a wonderful time to meet friendlies and particularly my lovely friend @Jools68, my angel. Was happy to see you playing football and England win. I'm looking forward the next time. @Tess_Tickles, no doubt I'll make all I can to find you in the crowd at Southend and have a good laugh together.
UNICEF states: '215 MILLION CHILDREN WILL GO TO WORK TODAY'...... Disgusting right? Please go to UNICEF AU and sign a pledge being sent to Foreign Minister, Senator Bob Carr asking the Australian Government to support UNICEF child protection programs....crazy we have to ask yeah? 3522 have signed and the target is 5000.
