Take That Issue Statement Regarding Tonight's Cancelled Copenhagen Show
Copenhagen, July 16th
We are truly devastated to have had to cancel tonight's show in Denmark. This is the first show that we have ever had to cancel in our career as a band. It was a horrible decision to make and one we agonized over.
On Friday night, Rob suffered serious food poisoning from something he had eaten after the show. He was violently ill all night and well into the morning. At 10am this morning, he decided to relocate to his dressing room at the stadium, in the hope that he could recover and prepare for the show. Doctors visited him twice during the day and despite prescribed medication he was still vomiting at 4pm this afternoon. The doctor insisted that he was not fit to perform tonight.
The five of us then had a decision to make: Should we go on with the show without Rob or should we cancel altogether? What would be fairer to our fans? What would people want? It was a very, very difficult decision. In the end we felt that as this tour is about the five of us being back together, and about celebrating that reunion, it would be wrong to go ahead with the show. We also knew that no matter how hard we and our team worked, in the short time we had to make the necessary changes to this hugely complicated and technical production, the show could never be what we wanted it to be, and nor could it be what our fans expect and deserve from us.
We are now back at our hotel and still cannot believe what has happened. Rob is still very unwell, and we are all just focussing on getting him better so we can put on our show in Amsterdam this coming Monday.
We would like to say from the bottom of our hearts that we are truly sorry to all of you who have bought tickets for tonight's show.

Очень печально что так всё получилось. Но ведь действительно никто из нас не застрахован от таких непредвиденных ситуаций. Со всяким такое может случиться. И если человек на самом деле является фаном Take That, то он поймёт это и постарается поддержать Роба и ребят. Я представляю насколько тяжело было отменять выступление. Но тут уж ничего не поделаешь: или все вместе или никак. Ведь в этом и была суть воссоединения команды. Желаю Робу скорейшего выздоровления!!! И я надеюсь, что позже они всё таки дадут концерт в Копенгагене или в другом городе..!

I'm sure in august september Ireland, Scotland england will al be in for a visit! holland and Germany I suppose to! Call it the lobstertail!

I got verry sad when I heard the bad news after traveling three hours to see this show. But I hope you will get better Rob! Please come to Sweden soon, so I don't have to travel that much if you cancel again ;) Get well Rob!

Hi. I hope Robbie is feeling better. I was one of the fans outside Parken last Saturday. I was so SO disappointed. It is hard to describe how disappointed me, my friends and everybody else were :( I know that it is not his fault, that he got sick but I really hope that you guys will reconsider and give us a new koncert. We don't want our money back - we just want to see your show :)

Got back to Nottinghamshire this morning around 3.30am from what should have been an amazing weekend! But instead all seven of us have been so gutted about not getting to see you guys on Saturday night! I think this weekend for us has been doomed from the start. First we were over booked at the hotel so we had to find another hotel to stay in, and that’s not easy when most of Copenhagen’s hotels were full up with Take That fans! Then the concert was cancelled and to top it off our flight was delayed on the way home! They say it comes in threes and it sure did this weekend. Due to us not being able to get any UK tickets when they came on sale our only chance was to go for any European tickets & Copenhagen were the first tickets that we were able to purchase. All in all this weekend with flights, hotels, and tickets has cost us around £2000. I think the least you could do is put on another concert as a good will gesture as we are all gutted we didn’t get to see you.

Hi sweetie, hope you´re doing better now! Of course it was the right thing to cancel, and I was (am) actually a lot more sorry for you than for myself. But... I´m still DEVASTATED! I´m 33 years old, and simply can´t seem to stop crying... Which is quite embarrassing! :S Non of my friends understands what a huge and special event this was (...I guess only hardcore-fans from back in the days does..), or that it was a "once in a lifetime"... :( I´m so very very sad to miss it, PLEASE try to reschedule for another show in Denmark! Whenever, wherever. Pretty please... Would mean the world to me, and thousands of others. Love you!
We flew back from Copenhagen late Sunday night. Eight of us flew out for the Concert as despite trying for the whole of the day we were unable to get UK tickets. The tickets were partly birthday treats and Christmas gifts and in all cost all eight of us over £2400 in tickets, hotel and flights!! I agree with Georgia - how about a one off in London where those with Copenhagen tickets can have guaranteed tickets.
Just flown back from Copenhagen costing roughly £800 to see you as we couldn't get tickets in London. We were beyond gutted as it was a treat to celebrate mine and my husbands 40th's this year. We can't afford to fly back if you reschedule and having our money back for the concert just dosen't cut it....so we miss you altogether. Any chance of a one off in London? There were a lot of people from England who flew over for this gig, please do something for us! Are you Guys comming back soon to make a New Concert for det disappointed fans that you dont played for Saturday night. All that money i used for nothing:-( i live 3 hours away , so long way back home.

You can do this Robbie...almost there our friend...dam devastated for you... am sure all the emotions & hard work so far have run your resistance down a bit but you are a fighter...been there done that to many times to let this get in your head...it's almost over...hangin there & finish proud..so very much Love for you...(((Rob)))
