Take The Crown: New Album Out 5th November
We can finally reveal that Robbie's new album, entitled Take The Crown, is released later this year on 5th November! Even better news is that you can pre-order it right now to make sure it's yours the moment the release date rolls around.
“After the Take That reunion – a busman’s holiday, a break from my career which re-energised me in many, many ways – I wanted to come back with a massive solo album," said Robbie about his forthcoming release. "My main priority was to write what I consider, and hopefully what the world would consider, to be hits. I’m very excited”.

Music industry magazine, Music Week, have already had a sneak listen and are singing Take The Crown's praises:
“Take The Crown is the big, brash, confident Robbie Williams pop record that his fans have been longing for but maybe didn't dare expect. If it had a sub-title it would be ’In Case You'd Forgotten’. Not wishing to denigrate the art of the record executive, but Island may as well have chosen the lead single by chucking a dart at the inlay sleeve. They couldn't have missed. And for those of you who simply can't wait until 5th November for a taster of Take The Crown, you'll be pleased to know that the first single to be released from the album, Candy, will land on 29th October. A brilliantly addictive classic pop song written with Gary Barlow, this is what Robbie had to say about the track:
“It’s a summer song about a girl who thinks she’s great. And she might be, but she’s a bit nefarious with her ways. Some songs take an age to write and some songs just fall out of your mouth completely formed, and you don’t have to think about it. I don’t know why that fell out of my mouth and out of my brain at that particular time – it just did.”

The album is available in two editions, including deluxe. Both are available on CD and as a digital download. In addition, there will also be a double vinyl available, which will be limited and numbered. Stay tuned for more details on this special format.
The CD is available with a choice of covers; the limited edition 'Roar' (limited to only the first production run of the CD, so it won't be around for long!) and 'Regal'.

Wow, I'm so excited about the new album... The cover looks brilliant and I can't wait to hear the new songs... I've ordered the deluxe version this morning and noticed that the delivery date from amazon Germany is November 2nd not the 5th :)) Thank you for making me a supermegahappy friendlie today... Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow ;) I really don't know how to organise the kids to grandparents or so during the week not to speak about explaining my boss that I need days off next week for flying to England to see you if I would get the chance .... Ohhh...........great news about the album Rob - love the artwork, very eye catching.......Reminds me of some sort of Elvis Hits Album - I'll be purchasing the deluxe edition with the two extra tracks on. Just a little curious about Eight Letters being included, great track.....I wonder if this is going to be a re-recorded version or the version with Take That & Robbie on lead vocals instead of Gary??......or am I just barking up the wrong tree here & its another new & completely original track??.......Wishing you all the luck with the oncoming birth of your daughter, I remember when my daughter was born, it was the best day of my life & nothing has ever come close to it.

This is great news; I'm sooooooooooooooooooo hoping you will promote (read tour) the new cd in Belgium as well. There are some nice and cosy theaters here as well! ;-) I think a lot of your friendlies can't wait to get a sneak "preview" on some of the songs; I know I am. I have no doubt that this album will be one from the deepest feelings of your heart and soul; I just feel it. It will be the best ever! The time is now Robert, definetly now!!!! Feel it, taste it, absorbe it and most of all enjoy it you deserve it, you earned it! You are a peacefull warrior! Let your mind and body take it all in! Hi, Paul...I see you are from US also. I wasn't able to pre-order......were you? I know I will eventually get a copy, but I wish we could show support from the US, too. He's got fans here, too! My best friend lives in a different state and we are HUGE RW fans! We talk almost every day and at some point in every conversation we share something that pertains to Robbie and his music. I personally think that the Popmusic in the US has turned into crap. It's all the same, dance beat, electronic, digital, absolutely NO melody, and the lyrics.....any moron could come up with. Robbie's music has amazing rhythms, beautiful melodies, and if not clever, well thought out lyrics, at the very least, extremely entertaining lyrics. He's a musical genius. I cannot wait for this album!
