Where To Watch BBC Electric Proms In The UK
If you live in the UK and didn't manage to bag yourself a couple of tickets to be part of the BBC Electric Proms audience there are plenty of ways to experience the evening; BBC radio, television and the red button.
BBC Radio 1
Tune in to Radio 1 from 19:00 BST on the night of the proms (Tuesday, 20 October), to hear Scott Mills' exclusive interview with Robbie ahead of his electrifying performance later that night. Then stay close to your radio right through to 22:30 BST to hear the full live performance; Scott Mills will be covering what promises to be a truly spectacular opening night of the BBC Electric Proms.
BBC 2 and BBC HD
Later that evening, Edith Bowman will present the best of the action from Camden's Roundhouse in the Electric Proms highlights show, from 23:20 BST on BBC 2 and BBC HD. If you miss either of these you can tune in online via the BBC iPlayer for up to 7 days after the broadcast.
Red Button
Last but not least, you can also keep up with the BBC Electric Proms via your interactive red button. To watch up to four streams of interviews and previews from the evening, press the red button on your digital TV remote. Robbie's performance will be available again on the red button from the morning after the event.
Make sure you stock up on the popcorn!

Hoping against hope that Rob performs "Lovelight", it did not get the attention it deserved and is in my opinion one of his best records EVER! Rob can do pop, rock, swing and R&B. Cant be many white boys from Stoke who can do that! Please, Please, PLEASE sing "Lovelight" and just maybe I will forgive the BBC :) ___ Pat Petrillo http://mmapound.forpound.com

Robbie Congratulations, once again, thanks for you exist in our lives .... I love you ... kisses ...
Good luck for tonight. We'll be watching you from Santander, Spain!!!!
Good luck for this evening. I will watch you from France, I'm sure it will be great, as usual !!
Can't believe we don't get a chance to see the whole show on TV, so disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dropping in to say BEST OF LUCK ROB your making us all proud now go fly the flag for the uk . shame scotland didnt have a cinema cast as i know we would have rocked the cinema listening to you x
Dear ROB, As we say in French instead of "Break a leg", MERDE to you for tomorrow.... Will watch you from Geneva.... looking very much forward to that.... Youpeeeee
sorry to sound 'tech-thick' but I need help with the red button please? Do I just push the red button on my Sky remote on the day stated and then follow information from there on? Thanks in advance for someones help!
Hey UK people, at the moment I'm listening to BBC Radio 1 and at the moment and tomorrow you can win tickets for the BBC Electric Proms to see Rob. Therefore, tune the radio on and listen to it. I wish you many success!!!!! ;-)
Also just wanted to add a moan about the Beeb - The BBC stands for "British Broadcasting Corporation", ie it sole remit and purpose in life is to broadcast to the British tv veiwing public. We in the UK have to pay for the tv licence in order to watch, well anything on telly. Yet, with our licence fee, the Beeb puts on the electric proms for a live non tv audience, and only later 'broadcasts' half the show to us, who paid for the proms in the first place. Yeah - that seems fair - NOT!!!!! Show the whole thing, we will still buy the DVD - honestly Auntie, you can do better than this, it is a recession you know, a nice early Christmas treat would have been just the ticket - literally!
Hoping for a miracle..... That I'm on the standby shortlist for tickets - which are more rare than golden hens teeth! Also hoping that the Beeb changes it mind and relays the program live on TV. Also hoping against hope that Rob performs "Lovelight", it did not get the attention it deserved and is in my opinion one of his best records EVER! Rob can do pop, rock, swing and R&B. Cant be many white boys from Stoke who can do that! Please, Please, PLEASE sing "Lovelight" and just maybe I will forgive the BBC .....- eventually.
Shame it won't be broadcast live! And on so late! They will have plenty of time to edit it! Don't cut out all Robs banter..we love that. A DVD sounds great! It's on my Xmas list!! LOL. So let's have it!!
I have to agree that it really is poor that we in the UK cannot watch this concert live on tv or in a cinema...it has nothing to do with being negative but a lot to do with what is fair...Very poor planning on behalf of Robbie management and a disgusting way to treat UK fans...I guess they think they will make more money by making us buy the dvd...After a three year break you would have thought they could have come up with something better...take care...x
I was all set to watch the concert in the cinema till I found out I have an hour long calculus midterm staring at 7.30! I really, really hate calculus!!! :( *sigh* At least I'll get to see it on the red button
Please release a full dvd if I don't get tickets, can't believe the bbc are only gonna show us half the show!! Love ya loads Robbie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
nope i wont stop moaning about lack of uk coverage seeing as i pay tv license and i dont even get to see live or full coverage yet it gets beamed out of uk live and in full. not blaming robbie blame bbc!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Robbie, The BBC iplayer just went into my favorites x
Hey you guys!Living in a remote place I can NEVER see Rob live(nor in a cinema)without having to travel long distances...(boats and flights!!!!)which I happily have done before, flew to Munich from Greece in '06!Quit your moaning already! Knock em dead Rob!Love ya man!
Everyone stop complaining!!!! Let's just enjoy what we can get! Why does everyone have to see the negative in everything!!! I'd like to see more of Robbie too here in OZ, but I'm prepared to take what is ever going, because we miss out on alot of things here too in Australia. I'm just enjoying Robbie's comeback after 3 years, and maybe in time there will be more live performances from him. He's just taking small steps at this time, and testing out the waters to see how he is precieved around the world. Let's give him our well wishes for his up and coming performances, and tell him how much we've missed him, and it's great to have him back!!!
I am very disappointed in the BBC. I find it hard to fathom that this event is happening in England on behalf of the BBC and we the UK Robbie fans are getting is highlights much later at night. Being one of the thousands of unlucky Robbie fans that despite 2 telephones and 2 laptops still didn't manage to get tickets for the Roundhouse I lay all my hope at the door of the BBC to show the whole event only to have these hopes shattered yet again. Tut Tut this is not good enough!!!
Noooooo way.......Robbie Performs @ Electric Proms in in England yet it is the English who cannot get tickets nor watch this live.....Why???? Soo gutted
Bit of a bummer for the UK fans, I'd got the nite planned, other half at local footie match so TV to myself, only to discover it's not the whole performance nor is it live. Not fair.
This really is too bad. Live radio coverage is better than nothing but UK fans should have the same opportunity as those in Europe - to SEE the full unedited show, either on TV or in the cinema. Highlights always rip the soul out of any Robbie show by cutting out most of the chat between songs - and at only 45 minutes probably half the songs as well. Once again British fans get a bad deal and we're the licence payers for the BBC which makes it even more infuriating!! (I'm lucky enough to have tickets but that doesn't make me any the less angry about this) Badly done.
Not very happy about this. Don't understand why we can see the concert in local cinemas. We only get the highlights - shame on you BBC
Oh, I have the bbc HD! Well... ALL RIGHT!! special THANKS...
Would have prefered this live with the whole content, not just highlights, How bad the BBC
not really happy about this!! live in cinemas across europ but the uk only get highlights????? whats that all about!!!! would have like the chance to get cinema tickets and seen full performance. not good enough im afraid.
Nice! But not good for me because Im from Slovakia I cant see in TV channels BBC 2 and BBC HD.
