Life Thru a Lens Cover Shoot

The photos for the Life Thru a Lens sleeve and booklet were taken in the summer of July 1997 by Andy Earl, who has also shot album covers for musicians including Pink Floyd, Duran Duran and Manic Street Preachers.

With Robbie dressed head-to-toe in Alexander McQueen, most of the photographs for the shoot were taken outside the British Museum in London with the art direction following the same concept as the album title; exploring the intense daily scrutiny faced by all entertainment stars.
