Following a gig as support act to The Verve in 1998 at the beautiful venue of Slane Castle just outside Dublin, Robbie returned in 1999 as the headline act. As if the stress of such a big show wasn't enough, the concert was also broadcast live... just to give Robbie that extra pressure.

haha i was at that gig....only 13 at the time! my pics are so funny i had a green merchandise tee on with a RW fishermans hat.....and yellow lensed glasses....i thought i was the sh*t haha!! i sang on live radio n won vip passes......and my neighbor was robbies driver....wrote him a poem....wonder if it ever reached him haha!!!!

Slane 99, as far as i'm concerned was the best concert I was ever at. I still have the video of it from that night and the audio for the full gig on my ipod (please don't sue me) think i might listen again on my way home from work. Lovin your work rob, peace out, A town
